Friendly staff, great food, nice atmosphere!Me and four friends met at Dogwood for the first time tonight. We all agreed that the food was excellent. Grilled salmon cooked perfectly, mouth-watering ribs, wonderful garlic green beans and sweet potato fries with honey. All around pleasant experience!
We were with 8 others and dined early. No issues with seating or service. But the menu is really limited if you are low carb or gluten free. I ordered the wings and they were just okay. A little chewy rather than crispy, wrestled to get the meat off the bone. Husband had the fried flounder. He enjoyed it, but really - one side? You can get fries or slaw but not both without paying an upcharge? It would take some serious encouragement to get us to return.
Great place to have a drink and enjoy some great food! This is one of my weekly stops and it’s open from 3pm - 8pm
Food was terrible. I ordered a chicken dish and it tasted like it was put in the Microwave way....to long. They had very few selections of wine and I was told I should go to there other restaurant if I wanted a better wine selection!! Who says that???
Food was really good. Had the Log Jammers, and the dogwood burger. Burger was a good size, fresh toppings, yolky egg, and the ham was just salty enough to cut through. They cooked my burger perfectly! Wish they had the Porter on tap I wanted, but there is always next time! Staff was chill and laid back. They got a little busy, but COVID19 and understanding about staffing. Still took very good care of me. Not a shabby bar, more upscale and refined. Definitely not for the rough and rowdy bar crowds, which is fine by me...N. Durham needed a classy place.

So nice to have a great neighborhood restaurant in north Durham. Menu is just broad enough, food is outstanding, service quick, and the vibe relaxed.
ordered take out , The Shepard's pie was a bunch of mush ! I ordered the Flounder it was dry and hard! got mac and cheese it was a container of macaroni with cheddar cheese on top ! For $32.00 Was not worth it
If you are Zen, you will love this clean and peaceful atmosphere...Its so ying/yang, I could live there. The appetizer portions were more than expected and the prices are very affordable. I was there for a quick celebratory drink with my bff and we instantly became comfortable. The waiter let us order after closing and didn't rush us to leave. The only bad part is that I left my nachos. I can't believe I drive by here everyday and didn't know it was there. See you soon (especially on football nights).
My wife and I have eaten here many times but not in the past 3-4 months. Tonight we had out of town guests and ordered carry out. The chicken quesadilla has great, however the rack of ribs were the absolute worst I have ever had. Obviously they have changed their process because their ribs used to be OUTSTANDING. I recommend staying away from the ribs.
