This review is for the Izakaya portion of the restaurant. Wow...just wow. Such a completely delightful experience is so rare lately that I was utterly blown away. The food, drinks, service, and ambiance were so completely on point that there was literally nothing to complain about. There was a comfortable rhythm to the placement and removal of dishes that I felt like it was a performance of some kind. Clearly every detail of the dining experience was being looked at with a discerning eye by whoever runs this establishment. From the moment we walked in and had our vaccine status checked (which made us feel safe) from the time we left it felt purposeful and perfect. Thank you Dashi for a wonderful experience!
My first time writing review because people deserve to be warned. This is the worst ramen I’ve had in my entire life. Everything is burnt and tastes both bland and bitter. The vegetable is bitter too and the egg is extremely salty. Bean sprouts are raw like you would found in pho soup, which is something I have never seen in ramen soup. Please avoid at all costs.
Far from authentic Ramen. The broth taste of just pure table salt and came warm, not hot. The noodles were stale and the eggs overcooked. I had such high hopes and was seriously let down. I would avoid Dashi at all costs.
Had lunch here with some work mates and we had a blast. The ramen is delicious, the food comes out fast and the service is great. Would definitely recommend for lunch, have not been for dinner yet!!!
Best ramen place in Durham! Super tasty ramen and pork buns. They do require your vaccine card so don't forget it! The intimate setting and low lighting make it a great date spot that you could dress up or down for.
Good food. Can be a little pricey. Unfortunately it has the unlucky pleasure of being in Durham but try not to hold that against them. This place is worth the stop.
This place is very cool inside and has some great vibes! I had the Miso Ramen and it was delicious. I didn’t have to wait for a seat when I went around 9pm on a Saturday night. Sat upstairs at the bar (they have a full liquor bar). They’re requiring vaccination proof to sit, which I appreciate!
Pretty good. Got the steamed buns which were great, however with the ramen my protein portion was extremely small… as in one bite. Very high quality food however just wanted to give a heads up about portions. Very good appetizers!
If you can't get a space for dinner take out is worth it. Really well packaged and so delicious.The ramen was amazing. The eggs alone might have made the dish.We had the pork Bao and were underwhelmed for the price. I'd give those a miss.
Mouth watering food! I could definitely eat here once a week, great customer service. Not a huge food menu but delicious.. a nice size list of Japanese Spirits and other alcohol
