Very good coffee we had the caramel latte the flavor was on point. The churros made on the spot are a plus, so much flavor, and the texture is the way it is supposed to be.
I had a very relaxing time here. I ordered an Al Mokha, a pleasing riff on a standard mocha with better-quality chocolate and a bit of cinnamon, and some churros, which are always made fresh and are always fantastic! There is no indoor seating at this location right now, and the outdoor seating does not have shelter from the weather, so if the weather's bad, expect to enjoy your delicious treat in the car. Staff is always friendly and well-informed.
First of all, the coffee is pretty good, nothing spectacular. The chocolate croissant was mediocre at best. Now for the bad news: no indoor seating, 20% gratuity with all purchases, even coffee pots, the line was long and it moved at a snails pace, the large size coffee is really a small, you need a key to get into the restroom, the music outside is deafening, and finally, masks mandatory. With that said, I usually tip more than 20%, and I’m triple vaxxed, so I get it, but there should be a consideration for those who are vaxxed this far into the pandemic. If any 5 of those annoyances were not present, I would’ve given a better score.
Churros! If you visit you absolutely must try the churros! They make them fresh and they're perfectly cooked. The coffee is great too, there's no doubt about that.
My first time in at this location. I had a latte and bought a bag of beans. Neither were worth the high price and the milk in my latte was not steamed well, not that it wasn't warm I mean that the texture and therefore taste was not what I was expecting from a specialty shop. I'm particular, but I also think for the price the coffee should be too.Willing to give them another try and hope that it's better.*Went back and ordered a matcha latte and asked for whole milk but received oat milk. By the time I took a sip I was already out on a hike so I couldn't ask to exchange it. I'll probably go one more time and give it a third try but I now know I have to check the drink before I leave and have lowered expectations of the products. The third time either is a home run or I'm not coming back
Always delicious specialty drinks. Macadamia nut milk which I had never had before. Loved it!
We love the churros but man have they changed. They should update it to say outdoor only. In winter that’s awful. They also added a mandatory 20% gratuity to every order. And they keep giving everything in to go even when you tell them you are eating and drinking there. We loved the ambience before and the indoor seating is a “must bring back”. Part of the experience is the beautiful cups and design on the coffee. The plates of churros and the comfort of the hipster set up. Really hope they get back to norm soon!! Rooting for this place!
I churros were good, but I don’t like the automatic 20% tip they add on there. I used to be a barista and would never do this to a customer! I always tip, but this just feels entitled to me. Tips should reflect the level of service, and I should get to pick the amount.
Amazing churros and friendly service. so glad we found this place just around the corner!
I had not been to Cocoa Cinnamon since before the pandemic began, but when I visited recently, it was just as good as I remember! The indoor seating area is not open, but there is a small outdoor seating area. I went to the Lakewood location on a Saturday during the early afternoon. There was a bit of a wait due to the line inside so I would recommend you ordering online via their website if you would rather not wait. One thing to note is that when you place your order inside, they automatically add a tip to your order no matter the size of the order. The Lakewood location also has a small parking lot, which I really appreciated. I ordered the Caramelo, which was very good! It was just sweet enough (not too sweet) and very rich in flavor. The design was a nice touch as well :-) If you are looking for a conveniently located coffee shop with dessert options, delicious coffee drinks, and outdoor seating, this is it! Whether you are looking for a spot to people watch while you enjoy coffee, spend some time in solitude with a good book, or fellowship with a small group of people, Cocoa Cinnamon is where it's at! I look forward to visiting again before winter.
