Other coffee shops it town have a list of rules posted on the door that you must follow to have the privilege to enter… Cloche has a sticker that says “Pet Friendly” and “Everyone is Welcome”. — Good coffee, friendly staff, welcoming environment. A business that I’m happy to support!
Wonderful atmosphere, great decorations and of course superb latte ?
I have been visiting cloche almost daily for the past 2+ years. I considered their coffee to be the best in the area, loved the atmosphere, and felt valued and welcome by their employees. A couple of months ago, I walked in to find all new employees which I found to be suspicious considering some of them had been working from the time I started frequenting cloche. Regardless of what happened with their original employees, I have been completely disappointed with my experiences at cloche following their departure. The new employees are not friendly and seem to have little to no barista experience. I have walked away disappointed with my drinks after each visit, and actually had to throw away a full latte and make my own at home one day. Sad to say that cloche is no longer worth my time or money and I would not recommend visiting any time soon.
WOW! This little coffee shop is just what Durham needs. You can certainly tell this place loves coffee and they do it right. I will always find a way to come by and get my coffee fix every time I am in town. I had the pleasure of meeting the owners and they are just as delightful as the shop itself. A solid 10!
Screaming Atmosphere This tiny coffee house is one of the cutest places I’ve been too. I would’ve given it 5 stars ⭐️ but it’s very small and every time I’m in there is absolutely nowhere to sit and soak in all the plant baby love. The plants make you feel at home and just chill. I did notice outdoor sitting but both times I was there it was raining. The staff was super friendly and helpful with my questions. I had the Rose Latte with an extra shot & Oak milk and it was superb. I love Roses on my drinks and was delighted to find that on the menu. The second time I visited I had a Dirty Hippie (Dirty Chai Tea w/ espresso shots) also with Oak milk and it didn’t let me down. You can tell they use quality coffee beans and the people that work there drink coffee as well, so they have better recommendations. I would love bigger cups but that’s just me being greedy. Lol. Anyway this a MUST visit especially if you’re a plant lover, and if you’re lucky enough to sit inside BRAVO to you!
Best coffee shop and staff! The welcoming atmosphere made me want to stay all day. Love Love this place!
Hot coffee over ice sold as cold brew, dishonest products and presentation in other areas as well
Nice place with cool atmosphere. Indoor and outdoor seating. I haven't had many coffee drinks, just a drip, which was good. A local vegan baker holds pop-ups on various Saturdays just outside the front doors.
Super cute coffee shop where you can go and get some work done; the vibes are great. It is small and when I was there it was packed. I tried a blueberry muffin and vanilla latte. Unfortunately, I did not enjoy either. The coffee was very different - not in a good way for me. The blueberry muffin had way too many blueberries. So much so that when you cut it open the center was only blueberries and no bread. I prefer a good balance. The three stars are mainly for friendliness of the staff, the atmosphere, and ambiance + location / parking.
I love my coffees and I must say this place served the best iced caramel latte around the area. The cute cafe vibes is cherry on top for someone looking for peaceful time!!
