We were looking for a barbecue spot the other day and Google lead us here. We opted for takeaway however the restaurant itself has a great vibe! We ordered ribs and chicken then as we were waiting for our order decided we wanted to try the brisket as well. The brisket(sandwich)and collard greens were our favorite items. The ribs were okay we were just really longing for the flavor you only get from a grill. We're pretty sure these ribs were oven cooked. The were very tender and had good flavor they just weren't what we expected. We'll definitely visit again however not for the ribs.
I would give zero stars if I could but 1 it is. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE. I am not the type to write reviews as I often think they are people that are hard to please. I am not! So I called the corporate office to help them know what my experience was like. The lady on the phone was very nice and very apologetic. She told me that she would give my information to the person that handles these issues and they would be getting in contact with me. That never happened which is what prompted me to leave this review. I wanted to keep my experience in house and address the rude guy at the counter so he would not run other customers off. I went in to the Durham store excited for BBQ. I ordered my food and a banana pudding. The guy at the counter handed me the food and I said thank you! I took the tray to my table and my wife asked where is the dessert? So, I had to go back up. When I asked the guy he looked at me and said "are you sure?" I am a mature man that does not look like I am trying to get a free menu item. I said he was welcome to go to my table and look if he would like. At this point he was being very rude and his voice was raising. He told me to go back to my table in a threatening way. He seemed like he wanted to fight with me. I did not apricate that as a customer. I asked him if I could speak to his manager. He rolled his eyes and turned around to the guy cutting the meat. He appeared to ask the young man what it was about and the manager seemed irritated that he had to come talk to me and said something and the young man turned around and snickered at me (no accountability).The manager came out and apologized but the young man was talking about me and still trying to agitate the situation. The manager took my receipt and said he would call me. Of course he never did! I see a Pattern. My company does alot of business at this store and I made the decision that I would talk to someone because clearly these folks in the store did not care about their Brand. As I mentioned earlier, I contacted the Corporate office with no response back. On a side note, the beef was full of FAT and I never complained about that to anyone till now. Overall, I feel like this company does not care about their customers or their store. You can make the excuse that your "short staffed" all you want but the truth is if this store continues on this path they will not need staff. It will be an empty building. As far as me, I will not be back as a customer and I will not use them to feed my team either. Thanks
This place was a surprise and I did not think the food was going to be so authentic and taste so great! Watching the line of staff chop meat and plate in a very long conveyor type line was magical to observe. They have so many smokers you know they are legit. I got the two meat sampler and the portions were such that o could not eat my salad that I should not have ordered. The custom sauces were great. The only issue I had was that ran out of tea and lemonade and no one could address because they were so busy! Banana pudding was also a plus to me and my family. I will be returning to this place to eat more of this wonderful food!
First time visiting this location. I must say, food was great! Had the Brisket Sandwich with Hushpuppies. The taste was delightful and it filled me up pretty good. I'm sure there's better Brisket in the area, but if you looking for something quick, easy and taste good, I definitely recommend this spot! Enjoy!
We ordered the Judges Sampler and an extra pound of brisket. Sadly the chicken was the most moist out of all the meats. The ribs were partially burnt. The extra pound of brisket had good and bad pieces. Some were too fatty.
Good but expensive. We happened to be passing through and decided to give it a try but it was very expensive for what you get. I think if you are going to pay $11 for a sandwich you should at least get a side with it.
Excellent brisket and sausage! I found this hidden gem by accident and it was fabulous. It's cafeteria style service but it's worth waiting on yourself for the great taste of the meats.
The food was excellent and the staff was very friendly. It took them about 15 minutes to have my food prepared. I had a delightful conversation with my wife while we waited for our food. The restaurant was relatively clean, but we did have to wipe down our own table.
After a 15 minute process to sign up so we could do curbside, we ordered. It came pretty quickly, but because I was extra hungry, I opened our bag and realized half our order wasn't there. When we went back in for the missing 3 items, they gave us 2 and we had to ask again for the meat for our sandwich. My husband said it seemed like the app was confusing the workers. After all that, we did like the food when we ate it at home.
Loved the place, service deserves a 5, food a 4.4 as brisket is good but not as good as the one found in San Antonio, TX, the food was great, fast, delicious and the place is clean and again the service was superb. $79 bucks for the family 5 of us ate and had extra foodOn Terminator's accent "I will be back"
