The food was amazing. The chicken is juicy, skin was crispy, and the sauce was evenly distributed. The flavors were bountiful but not overbearing. Oh and the seafood pancake had real seafood and not just imitation meat. You will not be disappointed by coming here.
Honey garlic chicken and spicy garlic chicken is amazing! Veggie fried rice is delicious as well! Friendly customer service!! Must try!!
The food here is 5 stars. It comes out hot and is full of flavor. Everything is soo appetizing and keeping you wanting the next bite. They have different flavors and each one of them is fantastic if you enjoy sweeter sauses and hott. The rich honeyed flavor of my sause had me obsessed with my wings. First time at Chicken Bee. The restaurant is small but clean. Chicken Bee's Sanitation score was a 96. We ordered take-out (1. Boneless chicken with honey garlic sauce with coleslaw and 2. Kimchi Fried Rice with Miso Soup) for $32.14. The wait was about 20-minutes.The customer service was okay to average...No issues with the food and tasty.
Food was good, but I will not be going back. Customer service was much to be desired. We wanted to eat outside, but they said they charge an additional 18% gratuity to eat outside. Mind you, the tables and chairs were right outside the door!I asked if I could get my food to go and eat outside on their tables. I was told that I could NOT do this.I picked up my order 30 min later and left to eat elsewhere, only to find that I was missing an entree. When I came back to tell them that I was missing an entree, I was told by one the cashiers (who truly lacks customer skills) that I needed bring back my entire order for her to see, apparently for her to verify that I was telling the truth. Horrible experience! Will not be going back.
The food is absolutely immaculate! It was great but our food took 2 hours to come out and we didn’t even order much. If you want to eat here, I recommend doing pick up instead. However this is not why I am giving this place 2 stars. When we got up to pay for our food, the waiter told us that the total was around $80, assuming that we paid with card. Then I told her that we were paying with cash and our total went down to around $55-$60. That is weird and needs to be looked into. I’m not sure if the place has some sort of cash policy or the sneaky waiter just automatically added an additional $20 of tip. She was also rude when we ordered dessert, I ordered a bingsoo and when she went back behind the counter, she loudly said “BINGSOO FOR TABLE 4” while looking at her coworker and rolling her eyes?? And I’m not sure why she even said that out loud if she was the person making it. We were just a family of 3 trying to get some food, unsure on why we received that sort of attitude from her. Felt like she was mocking us. The owners were great and nice but that waiter…she needs to be trained or fired.
I have had takeout from here a few times and the food quality has always been exceptional. I am in love with their soy garlic chicken especially. This is a really great option for a fun meal in Durham!

Horrible customer service. I placed a phone order & the lady that took my order stopped taking my order without putting me on hold to help someone else mid order. Normally this wouldn't be an issue except for an item was missed on my order. when I got there to pick it up the lady insisted that I did not order the side item that I asked for. Instead of making it right immediately she wanted to push the issue that I didn't order the item, saying that I didn't ask for a specific sauce (which she didn't offer). I explained to her that I don't work there & it is her job to make sure that I as the customer know that I need to make a choice option. She rolled her eyes. She was very rude, never once did she offer even so much as an apology and behaved as if she was doing me a favor by putting in the missed item.
Orders have on multiple times been 40-50 minutes later than the original time estimated on Uber eats at the time the order is placed. The time keeps getting extended. Be warned if you intend on ordering from this place. This is not the first time it's happened to me, this place seems constantly understaffed.
