Bull City Burger and Brewery in downtown Durham is so great!? They have delicious sides including my favorites: fried pickles and Duck Frites! Juicy #burgers, and freshly brewed beer — all in a casual atmosphere. This independent, locally owned, farm-to-fork restaurant focuses on #sustainability and also has a good variety of #vegan options! ? They make everything in-house, including grinding the beef!
Burgers are good and high quality ingredients-however it’s just not our go to spot due to cost per burger. The fried pickles and French fries make great additions to the meal. The hot dog for the kids menu is more sausage/kielbasa like-spiced in a good way- but not ideal for our 1.5 toddler. He loves the fries though!
Great burgers. Tons of options. The fries were really good. We had both the frites and the sweet potato fries. Was pretty expensive when you started adding the options on the burgers though.
I am in town for business and a friend recommended this place. It exceeded my expectations in every way! I love chimichurri, but I’ve never tried it on a burger before. It was absolutely mouthwatering and cooked perfectly. The beer I tried was made from apples grown at a local farm. Whenever I travel, I try my best to support local business and stay away from chains so this was a nice cherry on top. If I’m ever back up this way I will definitely be coming back.
Great food and friendly folks. Not a beer drinker, but folks really seemed to enjoy the brew as well. Definitely recommend.
The burgers are okay. Having a tomato would certainly improve the flavor. The thre of us were none impressed. Not great burgers and certainly not as good as other places. Drank a flight, and enjoyed all the beer. Fries were the best part of the meal.
As always, the recommendation was brought on by a friend to check out BCBB while we were in town attending the Joe Bonamassa show. To me, the grind was off, not enough fat, and flavor for the advertised taste of local beef. There was no "saw dust" taste when you sometimes get grinding your own beef when not enough fat has been added. The Grind was large, not mealy, that's good. Not very much flavor, especially for the cost. The Blond Bridge beer was pretty good, thumbs up for that. Would I go back? for the beer perhaps, I'll eat before hand. The fries were pretty good, care appeared to be in place for what appeared to be a fresh potato, double fry. Not greasy at all. Surcharge added to help employees with raises was quite weird. Staff was great, friendly and not over eager to help customers.
Absolutely fantastic every time. The sweet potato fries are covered in brown sugar and are so darn good. They have a wonderful selection of housemaid sodas! They make my bourbon drinks so well. The service is great. The atmosphere is cool. There's a patio and chocolate peanut butter cake!! ??
Great atmosphere, a friendly staff, and delicious food. We will definitely be back! Thank you Bull City Burger !
They're food and customer service are always lovely. For vegans and vegetarians, they have multiple options especially if you look at the daily special. I strongly suggest a quart of fries for the table - perfect for sharing and well worth the price.
