The calamari tasted absolutely perfect! Hey, some locations don’t prepare this appetizer well! ? Anyway, my salmon entree with spinach and beans was also enjoyable, tasted as desired. Although not listen on the menu, my date obtained chicken alfredo with additional shrimp. Very good selection! Our server Jermaine? Very knowledge! He served us well ☺️
Bocci had been on my list for a while and they were able to accommodate 10 of us at lunch on Mother's Day. The inside is fairly small, but Melissa was fabulous helping me.with the reservations and making sure we had a place for all of us to sit inside since it was rainy and cold. The food was great and good portion sizes. Wine prices were average/notmal. Our waitress, Leigh, took very good care of us and the bartender made some fruity rum something especially for my niece that other folks seeing it wanted. I was very pleased with the atmosphere, service and food and high recommended a visit.
There is no dearth of places to eat in Durham, including places to sit outside. We came for dinner at about 7p on a Friday evening and were seated quickly. Our efficient server - Nicole - was on the spot to manage drink orders and offer suggestions regarding appetizers. Our orders for calamari, bocci balls, and burrata came quickly - fresh and hot. The calamari had the lightest, flakiest breading we've enjoyed in a long time. There is no conceivable way you can leave Bocci hungry - portions are pretty generous. Two of our party split an order of chicken marsala, and there were still some leftover. The eggplant parm was sliced thicker than I've seen before, so it seemed a bit less crispy, but the flavor was full and the eggplant were clearly fresh. No complaints about the baked ziti with eggplant or the spinach stromboli. All was fresh, hot, tasty, and fairly priced. Worth another visit soon.
We had my daughter's bridal shower in the Venetian Room at the Durham location. The staff and food were fabulous. What a charming place. Thanks to Bocci, the event was perfect and my daughter was thrilled
We love Bocci! The service is always great and the waiters are always on time and so attentive, they sang for us this visit?? #topnotch

As a preface, I’ve eaten at Bocci several times and have been generally pleased with the food and service. Unfortunately this instance was so poor (purely because of how long it took for the food to arrive) I felt compelled to write a review. We walked in at 5:20pm on a Saturday night with two young children, and it was pretty empty. Quickly got seated outside. Order was placed about 5:45pm (we would have placed it earlier but we received infrequent wait service from the start.2 out of 3 entrees arrive an hour later at 6:45pm (feels like an eternity with young kids, especially at a less busy time) and my wife’s entree didn’t arrive until 7pm (after two reminders to the waitress that we were still waiting on it - she seemed confused/frustrated that it hadn’t shown up yet), and we had to get it boxed up because we ran out of time.I hate complaining about this stuff, and I asked the waitress if they were short-staffed, figuring they were, and she said “no, just an issue ‘in the back’”… so who knows what the problem actually was, but I’m guessing at least the kitchen was short staffed and they just couldn’t process the orders fast enough. There was no offer to take anything off the bill, and I was dealing with a kid when she took my credit card so I didn’t even get a chance to ask and honestly at that point didn’t feel like dealing with it.I realize a lot of restaurants are short staffed nowadays, so I’m not complaining about the waitress or kitchen, but rather Bocci management for seating more tables than they can realistically handle. Again, we arrived early at 5:20pm. Our orders should have been relatively quick and easy to process as only about 1/4 of the tables were seated around that time. The restaurant got much more crowded after that. I wonder how long people who arrived at 6pm or 6:30pm had to wait for their food.
I’ve been eating at Bocci for many years. The food and service has always been excellent. I ordered and picked up an Eggplant Parmesan entree tonight for dinner. It was ready in 20 minutes despite it being a busy Saturday night. Never disappoints.
I took my family to this restaurant for the first time and we all love the food. Very authentic Italian taste and lovely seating arrangement for big group of people. I would love to go again and try more Menu items.
This place is a amazing in most ways, but it is anchored entirely by the manager. I'm pretty sure the owner either doesn't care about this restaurant or they're shorting it. Either way, don't not go here. The food and ambiance are worth the wait.
