Big T's made the Triangle's best fish and chips list. Curious to test it out for myself, I ordered delivery for lunch today. I really enjoyed my catfish platter. I decided on hush puppies and fried okra. Everything was perfect. I really enjoyed the hush puppies. They were cooked perfectly and were huge. They provided the adequate amount of condiments. A fresh lemon, delicious tarter and cocktail sauce.I would definitely dine there again.
One of my favorite places to eat at in durham. Shrimp po boy, the hush puppies, alligator bites. Every thing I've tried has been good; only item I wouldn't suggest would be the chicken wings, I never knew wings could be soo small?? they tasted great tho
I can't believe it's taken me 2 years of driving by this place to finally try it. Should have tried it much sooner. I got the fried flounder po boy which came with fries & hush puppies. Everything was excellent & came in large portions, especially for the price. I will definitely be back to try other options. No offense to Jersey Mike's next door, but do yourself a favor & try this local business instead.
Wow can not believe this place has been here all along; and near the sheetz. Hidden gem.The food is banging. The staff are nice. Flounder platter is the bomb. I'm from up North NY/NJ. Couldn't believe I found a spot down south that can try flounder almost as good as up NORTH. Will definitely be back.Dammmmmnnnn went back, just as I said I would on 29 March 2022 still good?. This time the hush puppies were a bit under fried, though the whiting was just as good as the flounder. Still off the hook joint!!!
I would not recommend this place to anyone. The food quality and quantity is very poor and it was definitely NOT worth the price we paid. I ordered Hibachi chicken and steak with zucchini and onions. The portion was for a child, the steak was paper thin and burnt and the veggies, which were enough to cover the palm of a child's hand were mushy. A baked salmon platter, which was overcooked with soggy not crispy fries and fried okra. I gave a 1 star rating because the fried fish and shrimp was good and not overcooked. Drive a little further and find a good restaurant in Brier Creek.
What a disappointment. After so many great reviews I was excited to try this place. I was completely disappointed. My food was cold, my fish was soggy and bland, and Idk if that was paprika or old bay seasoning on the runny mac n cheese. Either way, I could've lived wo it. I got a piece of chocolate cake and even it wasn't any good. I ended up throwing my food and dessert away. Waste of money and I'm still hungry.
Great food! I ordered fried alligator bites and it was delicious. The meat was tender and the breading/ seasoning was perfect - not too salty. The alligator bites comes with a slice of lemon and a cup of tartar sauce (which was also really good). Staff members were friendly and the restaurant was clean. Indoor and outdoor seating available although the strip mall had poor lighting at night. Highly recommended!
Got a 2 combo platter with oysters and flounder, both seasoned well. It also came with hushpuppies and two sides, which I got fried okra and fries. I am a lover of hushpuppies, and the other reviews were not kidding about these hushpuppies being amazing. Fried okra was also very tasty.
Food was decent. Not memorable, not bad. On the surface, the prices looked very cheap. Until I saw the portions. Very tiny portions of seafood and sides. Bottom of styrofoam tray wasn't even half covered.
Me and the Mrs. pulled up got the shrimp po-boys. This place is legit no cap.
