I know this is a pretty popular coffee shop in the Durham area but I wasn't a fan of the seating. I went there to do some work and it was pretty dark. I ordered an iced chai and while it tasted good it was mostly milk. The staff is very friendly though!
I love to support local businesses when possible and Bean Traders makes that super easy to do since their coffee is so amazing! I tend to order online (when they aren’t super busy) and I’m always greeted with a “Hello” when I go in to pick up my order. The pastries they offer are also really tasty. If you order something online and they don’t have it for you when you go to pick up your order, they will let you pick something else or or offer to give you a refund.Great atmosphere and great customer service to go along with some of the best coffee I’ve ever had.
Everything was fabulous... had a beignet muffin and a scone and bought a whole quiche and they all were melt in your mouth heavenly good!Oh and I had a coconut coffee and was pleasantly surprised as I don't normally like flavored coffees but it was not an over powering coconut flavor it was mildly good, you could taste the coffee and the coconut.
Stopped in for the first time. The iced latte was so flavorful and smooth even unsweetened. I got the Cool Cat bagel sandwich. So good, with everything bagel toasted, cucumber, and vegetable cream cheese. Will definitely be back.
Support your local coffee roasters! Bought a 5# bag of their "Panama" naturally processed light roast (included pour-over cone to show scale). Very knowledgeable about their products, stop on by if near Southpoint!
We live in the general area and I know Bean Traders is very popular judging by the crowds sitting outside. Maybe it's me but I just don't get all the fuss. On my last visit I got a cold chai to go, and it was okay but not great. I guess I just prefer cozier coffee shops that feel more inviting. Bean Traders can seem a little sterile in its large space. I'll just be the little dissenting voice and let all the other fans chime in with their positive reviews. I'll go to a few other coffee shops we prefer.
We have been going to Bean Traders for almost 10 years now, and it has always been excellent! Dave, the owner, is exceptional in his coffee making skills, and he never ceases to make everyone feel at home. Bean traders is like a family.Be careful though, once you start drinking Bean traders coffee nothing else will compare!
Great all way around ,food and prices
Hands down the best coffee shop in the triangle area. The coffee is perfect and they have delicious + affordable breakfast items. When I open up a fresh bag of beans from bean traders, the smell is like heaven in a bag and the flavor lives up to the aroma.
I love this place. The vibe is friendly and joyful, with zero pretense but so much professionalism. There are always plenty of beautiful and yummy options in the pastry case, and the hot chocolate habanero coffee just makes my soul happy.
