We traveled from PA. Visiting fam here in Durham NC and we had the pleasure of eating a meal from the BBQ pit and I must say that we were very impressed . Everything we ordered was delicious ! customer service was very friendly and courteous we are looking forward to another visit.
The best hush puppies in Durham. Great portion sizes for the price. The food is always slamming and if you can get in before the lunch rush, it's a quick in & out. The service is always friendly and feels like going to family's house. 10/10 recommend for homestyle soul food.
Food is fresh and flavorful, staff is friendly and seem to work well together. I had to regrets. First, I should have purchased two banana puddings(you won't want to share).? Secondly, did not take any pictures of my delicious ? food(it didn't last long).
Food was delicious. I had the baked chicken it was seasoned to perfection. The candied yams and macaroni was awesome. Hush puppies are the BEST. Definitely home cooked authentic southern dishes. Had lots of options on the menu. Portions were very fulfilling and prices were great. Definitely try it out.
We had the bbq ribs baked and fried chicken Mac n cheese cabbage okra and hush puppies. Very good soul food. Seasoned and hot. Good customer service very friendly crew down home hospitality. Will definitely be going back again
no smoke flavor at all, probably cooked in a crock pot. make your own, it will be better.
Food is amazing! I got brisket, Mac n cheese, & yams. The yams had a filmy consistency which made me not eat them but upon first taste they were delicious. Mac was good && brisket was tender, flavorful and very tasty. Customer service was great. I will definitely be back!
Food was really good!!! We were first timers and they gave us samples to choose what we wanted, we thought that was awesome so we didn't spend money on something we wouldn't like! Great service!
Food good but not what it used to be. I believe mainly due to shortage of staff in hospitality industry. Will continue to patronize though.
