We love Alpaca. We’ve experienced consistently fresh, delicious food every time we visit, which is several times a month, regardless of location. Our go-to is a shared plate of half-chicken, double rice and tostones. The maduros are also excellent. This Alpaca in particular was the classiest and most relaxing of all of the locations I’ve visited.
The food was amazing especially considering the time...3:30 in the afternoon, the time when a typical chain restaurant has the dry lunch leftovers. The staff were also friendly and attentive, the location at the South Square area of Durham was very clean both inside and outside
I've gone here twice. Good! But unfortunately not great. But for all the trendy aesthetics of this place, the food is honestly no better than Pollo Tropical. Both visits, chicken was dry and fries were mushy. It seems that non-fried chicken remains difficult for fast-casual restaurants to get right. Take your business to Happy + Hale next door or Guasaca.
So yummy. Kid friendly options. Great place to pick up dinner and enjoy an evening on their porch dining area. Can't wait to come back.
The people were very friendly. We ordered and got our food quickly. The chicken is to die for! Wonderful people, awesome food, we'll be back!
It's good, but every single time I order from them, something is missing. You would think I'd remember to check before I drive away. This time it was the salad dressing. Worth going, but if you get take-out make sure you check. Also I must note that the other Peruvian restaurant that is a small family restaurant never leaves things out.
Fast service, cafeteria style, delicious, flavor profiles are amazing. Chicken juicy, not dry like others. Excellent!
Alpaca is so delicious! Food is always fresh & the associates are really friendly ?
Alpaca is a place that brings new meaning to 5 stars. I almost want to go back and mark down my fives to fours so this one shines. This place is by far my favorite of its kind. It is a stellar deal, high quality food, and a unique vibe. I’ve got kids, and love taking them here, but it’s not a “kid” place. If you like fresh food, especially rotisserie chicken, this place is A++.
In town for training and went with a group of coworkers. The place was clean and efficient for food and service. There was a large gazebo patio area for those sunny days and plenty of seating indoors. The meal itself if you add sides though does seem to get a bit pricy compared to other places. Quality and freshness of the food though was above average. Most of our group enjoyed the Saltado chicken dish and no one had any complaints besides having to spend more for sides or drinks which most places include with lunch meals. Altogether good lunch spot. Cheers!!
