My friends and I came for takeout and were delighted. The Chicago style pizza is new to me but I enjoyed it! Their hotdogs are good, too. The owner (I think) was inside while we waited and he was very kind. I can't wait to return.
Never have had a bad experience! Food has lots of love put into it.
It did not make my style. Chicago style with NO tomato sauce. I'm used to a lot of tomato sauce on my Chicago style. I also found expensive. Service was rather bad. To order a beer you need to leave you pizza, go to the cashier, pay $8, than wait at the bar, which is NOT quick. I guess it could have been even worse, so 2 stars. Not coming back.
My wife & I are Chicagoans and stopped in craving our hometown favorites. Two Polish and 1 order of fries, $18.68. That is insane. Lucky we didn’t buy beef sandwiches @ $13.95. The food was close to Chicago but far from it. The prices are insane. I guess locals don’t mind paying the prices.
The staff was friendly, and the restaurant appears clean. Ordered 2 Italian beef sandwiches to go with no sides for just over 31 dollars. They had a slightly strong spice flavor, could have been the au jus. The sandwich was average, nothing like the ones we have in the Detroit area.
Made our first visit to Matt’s Chicago and it won’t be out last! Best deep dish ive ever had. Thick hearty crust and fresh. Ordered a large so I could eat it again today!
We’ve eaten inside many times but with the pandemic Matt’s Chicago developed a take and bake option!! Photo below shows the two pies baked minus the first round of slices! The instructions were simple and clear, the pizza far exceeded expectations!! Best Chicago deep dish we’ve had anywhere in the Southeast! Also better than the Lou Malnati’s we were paying to ship and bake!! Definitely check this place out, either in person or a fresh pie to go!!
I just left Matt's and had ordered a thin crust pizza and a Chicago dog. The food was great! I like my dogs with a little snap to them, and this one delivered.I'm a huge fan of Chicago-style thin crust, and this really hit the spot. The crust was very crisp, well-done, and the toppings were just as I ordered. Really enjoyed it!While I was there, it was clear they are trying VERY hard with limited staff. I hope everyone remembers that these are tough times for small business owners that are trying to keep the doors open with limited staff. My cashier was just training, and she did an EXCELLENT job. They really are trying, and I applaud the effort. I hope people remember to be patient when going into small businesses. You may wait a little for your food, but it is worth it. I will definitely be back!If you are in a hurry, they have deep dish pizzas now that you can take home and bake! I can't wait to try one!

Great experience, went at lunch time around 12-1230pm, ordered food and had it quickly, a great environment at lunch and absolutely loved the Chicago dog. Will definitely be back from now on. This was my first time here and couldnt have asked for a better hot dog
