View/location is fabulous, no complaints on service. We went on a rainy Monday so they weren’t busy at all. The hostess was friendly and our server was attentive. On to the food. We split 3 appetizers, crab claws, mussels and wings.Mussels were excellent! That said, they give you two slices of bread and literally refuse to give you more even if you want to pay for it. In my life I’ve never been to a restaurant (fancy, middle of the road or otherwise) that had such an absurd policy. The broth is fabulous dipped in bread and you wind up with a whole bowl full and no way to eat it. Considering how expensive this place is that seems like an incredibly poor customer experience. Our waiter was extremely apologetic, wasn’t his fault. Included a picture of the yummy broth we had to leave wasted on the table for reference.Crab claws were awful, super expensive yet flavorless. Would never recommend or get these again.Smoked wings were very good, meat was a touch dry (Pump House in Rock Hill does similar wings and theirs are always super juicy), but it was a decent size order and the white sauce that came with them is delicious. Would order those again for sure.

The service was OUTSTANDING! Hannah was very friendly and amazing. The food was incredible. The spicy chicken sandwich has a great zing with delicious flavor. The cauliflower steak was extremely unique and phenomenal; cheese, ground almonds, and an egg.My father has a lot of dietary restrictions and they made a custom salad to accommodate. This will definitely be a go-to spot for us!

Sweet wait staff, beautiful outdoor eating. We went an hour before our reservation to have a drink at the patio bar. I got the rainbow citrus salad - huge and delicious! We ordered the hush puppies as the appetizer and they were incredible. Other people in our group got the flounder/fries which looked so good if you're wanting a fish n' chips, and the arugula salad which was great as well. Super evening! *Hot for the first bit and then cooled off around 7pm.

My friend and I decided to give this spot a try. We arrived around noon on Thursday and were quickly seated in the fully occupied outside. Indoor seating was empty. The server was rather stuffy, borderline rude. When asked if the fried egg over my cauliflower could be cooked "over hard", he stating that it's NOT how THEY like it served. Really?? After checking back with us, we were told that they would TRY THEIR BEST to cook it through. The food came as ordered, the view was lovely, but our server ghosted us. Our waters were empty, wine refill was not offered, and keylime "Cheesecake" was grossly oversold. Our lunch was $58 for 2 cauliflower dishes, one shared piece of cheesecake tart, and one glass of wine, plus $12 tip. Not worth $70 in my book. The burgers and chicken sandwiches that others were having looked much better. We actually left still hungry.

I highly recommend Hello, Sailor! The view is beautiful of the marina, the food was amazing, and the drink was delicious!Danielle was an amazing server with great drink recommendations, and helped make the meal enjoyable! The atmosphere is relaxing, and I will definitely return when I’m back in the area!

I would recommend Hello, Sailor to anyone!!This past Memorial Day Weekend, I hosted my sister's baby shower at Hello, Sailor - and I cannot say enough good things.First and foremost, each and every member of the staff at Hello, Sailor was kind, helpful, and went above and beyond to make our visit perfect. We all felt so welcome, and so taken care of - I would encourage anyone to hold an event here in a heartbeat.Second, the food and drinks were delicious! We received such good feedback from all the guests. My husband was jealous to have missed the event after seeing pictures of the food.Lastly, the event space was perfect -- exactly what we had had in mind. They had roped off a section for us and had gift tables and everything.I cannot recommend Hello, Sailor highly enough to anyone. If you're wanting to host an event here, do it. If you're just wanting a delicious meal here, do it.I cannot wait to come back in the future!!

Food was absolutely fantastic & and came out way faster than expected. When we arrived, we were able to select which dining option we’d prefer - inside, covered patio, or outside. Cameron our server was phenomenal & provided us with knowledgeable menu options and exceptional service. Highly recommend.

Food was really good and the place has a really nice view of Lake Norman! Service was also very good!

Inflexible even when they are out of specific products which we drove 30 minutes for. The manager said substituting oysters for mussels is not up to their standards?! No wonder why they are a 3 out of 5 rating. They can but they won’t. What is not up to my standards is being out of product before the day even begins and the lunch crowd comes in.
