Great place for brunch! They have indoor and outdoor dining. I like sweeter drinks I ordered a Georgia peach to drink It was really good! We ordered the sweet caramel waffles and the French toast both were good.
We were visiting Concord from out of town and decided on this place to eat from a Google search of local restaurants. We were blown away by how delicious every single thing we ordered was. We liked it so much that we returned the next day for brunch since they had a different menu for that. Brunch was also amazing. Now we will be making every excuse to get back to Concord to eat here again. The service was also wonderful. All of the wait staff was super friendly!
We are new to the area and we're looking for a brunch spot to take our parents. Everyone recommended Village Corner.The location is nice as there is indoor and outdoor seating. The inside feels a little tight during the brunch rush. Yet, you can still comfortably walk to the bathroom and back.The staff were friendly and helpful as it was everyone first time. And the food didn't take too long to get to us.Now, everyone food was good except mine. I got the shrimp and grit which were a little on the salty side. Yet, my mom got the corner breakfast which is a basic meat, eggs, grits, and a biscuit dish. She was very happy with it. Multiple people ordered the chicken and waffles. They were very happy with it. So, I guess I just ordered the wrong thing. I'll give it another try
Theres not enough room on here to explain what a top notch place this is. But heres what i think...staff, was so on point and friendly, our server was excellent gave great suggestions, checked in on us, had a great smile as well. Decor & Vibe was like nothing ive experienced in the area nor even downtown Charlotte scene. Ive been here a little over a year, ate @ many places, and will say this is #1 in my book. The Food....AMAZING...AMAZING...did i mention its AMAZING....this is a MUST STOP place if within a million miles and need to eat...I cant wait to check out there live music ( Fri & Sat) and taste there very nice beverage selection, from craft beer to fine bourbon ( Fine fine Bourbons)...I want to keep going but i think you understand, so stop reading grab your family..or not....but get over there and tell them someone wrote a book about there place...P.S. Chicken Salad Sammy...w/ side salad...wife feels the same about the BLT....finished with Banana Pudding thats out of this world
This is THE BEST place I've eaten in YEARS. I ordered Shrimp and Grits, which is my go to at every restaurant that offers it. I come from a family of Southern chefs and if you can nail this dish, I. Am. In. I've eaten Shrimp and Grits all over this country and the Shrimp and Grits from Village Corner is FOR SURE in the top THREE best I've ever had.I met my mother here with my 14 year old son. Concord is a halfway point for us to meet and I always choose a different restaurant. I will never go anywhere else. My teenage boy, who eats food so fast he can't even taste it, savored every bite of his meal. He was blown away by how good the eggs were. Just eggs!!! And they were THAT good. Our waiter, Teddy, was amazing to say the least and I have nothing but super, happy, positive praise to give this place. Go there. Go there now. Go there all the time. Never stop going there. And ENJOY!!!

This place never disappoints. First time ordering VC via Doordash and my order was correct, food was delicious, and they even sent me an extra order of cheesy grits which my kids devoured. I like that they have the option to sub waffle for your bread selection with the Corner Breakfast. Reasonable prices, brunch menu available on Saturdays and Sundays. However, their regular lunch and dinner options are chef's kiss, too. Love seeing Liz, whether she's serving or bartending. They have full bar, craft cocktails, and a plethora of unique beers on tap.
The owner, Ryan was wonderful. Super friendly and personable and had a great sense of humor. Our server, Paige was terrific. She was also very friendly and attentive and made sure we had everything we needed at any given moment. Now to the food…..the chicken fried chicken with white gravy was better than your grandma makes. It was fantastic beyond words. I literally could’ve eaten nothing but that and walked out completely satisfied. It was moist yet super crispy and the gravy was perfection. Trust me when I say, don’t get the single order….get the double. You can thank me later. The crispy hash was yummy as was the potlikker dip (a collard green and cheese dip on toasted baguettes). The chicken sandwich my other half ate was also delicious and don’t get me started on the banana pudding. I don’t normally really care for banana pudding but theirs was fabulous. If you haven’t eaten here yet…..run don’t walk. We will definitely be back. I will need my fix of chicken fried chicken soon.
