Ordered a bagel breakfast sandwich- holy cow. This thing was LOADED. No skimping on the cream cheese, perfectly cooked fried egg, juicy thick cut bacon. The folks are always pleasant and the place is always clean. Great local spot.
Nice staff that seemed to be a bit short handed on help. Most tables had yet to be busted from a previous rush. Everyone was nice and asked if we had been helped while we waited for a table. The Texas Slammer was a great choice. It had everything youd want for breakfast. Also, anyone that has Texas Pete at the table gets a thumbs up.The 2 crepes we ordered were way overcooked and were way to brittle. Flavor was good, however.
The food was okay. Nothing to go crazy over. I waited a while until someone took my order. J I’m was the only minority there and when other people came in they were immediately served. It seemed off to me. But it was decent food
My family and I were in town visiting The Great Wolf Lodge for spring break. We decided to go out for breakfast and decided to try The Sweet Spot. We were not disappointed. Everything tasted so good and was decently portioned. The prices weren't to bad either. (It was about $45 for a family of 4.) I had already added ketchup to my hash browns but wanted to take a picture of one the best breakfasts I've had in a long time. Staff was friendly and food was out in a decent time. It wasn't too far from our hotel and we will be going back next time we are in town.
We wanted to love it but we didn't. Food was below average. I felt that my hashbrowns smelled and tasted greesy. Bacon was under cooked. Frensh toast tasted meh and syrup was very commercial in little packets. The whipped cream on the waffle tasted weird.. The place was dark and needed upgrading.
As much as I'm happy to have a locally owned breakfast spot, I was slightly disappointed. ?Individually wrapped syrup (think MickeyD's) and disposable styrofoam dishes leaves a lot to be desired. Hash browns were just "meh" and the French toast batter needs work. Everything had a "microwave and serve"feel to it. In fact the scrambled eggs looked like they were cooked in a bowl and held that shape.I really want this to work but menu (and floors) need updating. Please guys fix this!
Food was okay and so was the service. The guy working is far from friendly. Took 1 hour to get our food when there were only 2 other people in this place. Our food sat in the window until the kitchen employee brought it to us because our waiter was sitting down talking to someone else while orders piled in the window.
We ordered the perfect breakfast. Seems simple enough right? The home fries came out with bacon in them ( they don't come with bacon nor does he eat bacon). We sent them back and received more with uncooked frozen potatoes. We asked for the manager who told us " He can't promise bacon or uncoked food won't come in the food as they rush things out the kitchen. This is totally unacceptable. Be aware when going there.
I have never seen a larger plate of pancakes in my life! My son got the pancakes but he couldn't eat half the portion on his plate. I got an omelet and it was huge as well. Everything was tasty and the service was friendly. I noticed Taylor pork roll on the menu which is unusual in the south. Nice variety of foods.
With the exception of a food hiccup, we really enjoyed our Breakfast visit. I ordered the Saturday early-bird special with hashbrowns. Unfortunately they were out of hashbrowns that day so I ordered Grits instead, as did my wife. When the meal came, everything was tasty and cooked to perfection - EXCEPT for the Grits, which were cold. We told the waitress and she went to get another helping. When she brought the new helpings, they were a tad bit warmer but still cold in the middle, lumpy and tasteless. It was almost as though the kitchen staff didn't know how to cook grits... but the eggs were delicious, my bagel was great and the sausage was first-rate. I'd have given them 5 stars but for the grits failure. The wait staff was friendly and helpful as well. We'll definitely be back, but I would advise against ordering the grits!
