Reading these reviews has me wondering if I have gone to the same place. I've been on multiple occasions with my girlfriends (preCovid), my siblings, with a date, and even by myself. Food is ways good. Drinks as well.I've not had a bad experience and the food was good. Only bad experience was kitchen closed early on a Saturday night.
Hotshots is more like not worth a shot. The staff is crude, the managers are racist and the customers are bottom of the barrel. The owners purposefully keep rap music off there playlist and I’ve heard the manager Danica likes to use the n word often, from her own staff. They won’t carry Henny bc it “attracts” a certain crowd. And if you didn’t think this was home of the proud boys a quick search will show you a black man was killed last October by their very own confederate toting barback. Speaking of barbacks they don’t have any. The staff is mainly made of drunk regulars who aren’t able to work. The staff also likes to drink and do drugs on the premise often. The staff is very money oriented, if you ask for anything they’ll most likely respond with “for 10$ I will” or something similar. The food is terrible and absolutely the worst bar food I’ve ever had. Honest opinion save your time and money and head to iron thunder or hooters all in the same vicinity. Unless you’re one of those proud boys mentioned! Then more power to you
My coworkers raved about this place prior to me coming. The only thing raving about Hotshots were the crazies that came in or the drunks that left.I mean. If you are into that really dark, dank kinda bar because the booze is aplenty and the women are...well, let's just say it's kind of like hooters and twin peaks. Not my scene. Customers were jerks, too much weed all over the place and the servers were, while I'm sure nice and good people, quite busy and frantic.Looks great on the outside...inside is a different story. Didn't have the food. Just came in for a drink and played darts.
Just tried this location for the 1st time; new to the area…was hoping to ‘find’ a good hangout spot to shoot some pool + socialize. The first chair I sit down almost broke down as I sat on it…nearby customer said it had been that way for quite some time…I guess it’s not a liability issue according to their mgmt. team..? (And in case they did not know, I inform their manager later) I went ahead and swapped chairs, tilting the defective one (because I do care about others ?). Got the different chair and it was literally broke too - not as bad as the 1st. I then ask the bartender if I can go ahead and move to a high top, asking her if there’s a waitress on staff…she kindly said go ahead and choose wherever. I literally choose a high-top table and lay my wallet and keys down on the table and the table top tilts almost 30 degrees on me. I’m a bit upset at this point…seems to be minimal care and upkeep at this establishment. I go ahead and ask the waitress to please speak with the manager. The manager on duty this Monday evening also happens to be the very busy bartender I had already spoke to. It’s probably difficult to manage and be a busy bartender at the same time..? ? When the mgr. is finally available to speak with me, as I wanted to simply inform her of the (3) issues I experienced in about 15 mins…a courtesy…I start by saying hey I realize you’re really busy, but I just wanted to let you know about x, y, and z. She looked at me as if I was an a-hole…and then said, OK…what do you want me to do about it? I then state, well, I get the vibe that you actually don’t care, so I’m going to go ahead and leave now. She says, “OK - you have a good night”. I realize this is a bar, but does that mean the standards need to be this low?
Nice tap list. Ok menu. I wish it had more meat-free options. Darts, pool, and a few other games you expect at a good bar. Friendly bartender. Touch Tunes jukebox is a plus. I had a good time here.
Glad we chose to go even tho there were some bad reviews. Had a few beers, pizza & the philly. Food was really good bar food. If ever in the area ill be back.
Disgusting food. Burned gyro meat in salad. Burned hamburger patty terrible and unappealing. One staff server. Do not stop here. The parmesan fries sound good but they tasted gross, limp honey mustard sauce cheese coating. The food is obviously made for people who are too drunk to notice.
Pretty chill place ,had everything a bar could have except a shuffle board.Pool tables pretty good shape I think there were four maybe five some shot better than other ones but over all nice tables and ONLY .75¢!!! Attractive and friendly lady's worked the bar and tables there were only the two working and did excellent job of providing service..the were also dart boards ,touch tunes and games of skill$$ .I didn't cash out but I did play for a bit on 5 bucks .oh yeah beers are cold food was good too!! Will return .
Good pricing but bartenders spend most of their time socializing with the regulars and can take a while to get a drink. Certain nights the crowd can get a bit rough. Other times it can be a lot of fun. It's hit or miss here.
Went here tonight for my birthday and the bartender was extremely rude. Our server rang in our drinks and we approached the bartender because they were not at all what we ordered (who I later found out was the manager as well) she basically called out our server and told her she rang them in wrong right in front of us. If you’re the manager calling out your employee in front of their guest is so uncalled for and unprofessional. Our server was incredible and super nice but also embarrassed as anyone would have been. I definitely will never be back. Ale house right up the road never disappoints.
