I have never been a huge coffee drinker, however; the phenomenal people that make up the staff, the delicious pastries and brunch options and calm, yet fun, environment and atmosphere have always left me with a great experience and wanting to come back!! Also the Tranquility (A Matcha Latte!!) is fantastic! 10/10 stars
I took my daughter and grandson there yesterday. I had an iced coffee and they had hot lattes. Coffee was just okay. We ordered the goat lady, a bacon and egg breakfast sandwich and a blueberry lemon toast. I nearly broke a tooth attempting to bite the toast on the goat lady. Very stale bread and dry. Too many preserves on it and the blueberry thing and hardly any goat cheese. All this for $51.00 which included tip. Never going back. Too many choices for quality coffee and breakfast fare that are great values.
We came here on a rainy day to grab a drink. The atmosphere was very open and inviting. The staff was very friendly and the drinks were pretty good ?
Wish I could give Groundwork Common SIX stars because it is above and beyond the vast majority of coffee houses out there. Loved the clean, simple modern decor with open spaces and lots of light. The service was friendly and very helpful. The food was fantastic! I had "The Goat Lady," which was a slab of toasted locally made bread slathered with local "Goat Lady" goat cheese, and local strawberry jam. Washed it down with a delicious cafe moca. Great way to start my morning and looking forward to future visits to Groundwork Common.

This place is absolutely amazing! The owners, the employees, the atmosphere! The food and coffee are so so good and you can tell they pour their heart and souls into every recipe. There’s always a smiling face to greet you at counter and you’ll never leave dissatisfied
I live in the little town of Mount Pleasant right outside of Concord, and we have zero good coffee. Zero. I love when I have the extra time to come to Verb(Groundwork common) and get a GOOD latte! Owners and staff are genuinely kind to all their customers and will quickly learn your name and get to know you. Their food is delicious, and I know a couple reviews mention it’s a little pricey but I’ve always felt it was priced very good for what you get! Food is always fresh and they use a lot of local farmers for the ingredients. I love their lattes, it’s my drink of choice, and my favorites are the maple butter and the Black and Tan! Always a pleasure to be able to swing by on deliveries or to meet a friend to catch up!
