Enjoyable, relaxing, excellent food; what more to ask for?
Surpisingly good for chain restaurant here in Charlotte NC (this one was in Concord). It was great with good service for under $50 for three people.
Very slow. I have been in other branches. This has been the worst branch so far. I usually order roast beef at most branches. Roast beef here was not tender at all
Called ahead for seating and waited until our turn knowing it was busy. My wife and I got seated, ordered quickly. And about 45 minutes in we finally asked our waitress if our food was coming up soon. She said they were very busy and we were the next ticket on the line. About 20 minutes later we asked her again about our food and got the same response. Meanwhile there had been a six top and another couple tables (it was only my wife and I, remember) who came in following us that had gotten their orders along with innumerable to go orders being pushed out. About 15 minutes after that (now 80 minutes in) I asked for the manager and our waitress said all of the managers were also working in the back. I said to her again that I need to speak to someone ASAP. A manager came out in quick order, said our ticket was next up, they were very busy, and that he would comp our meal (thus 2 stars instead of 1). We don’t travel to the Charlotte area often, but this was probably our worst Cracker Barrel experience. After close to 90 minutes we received our food hot and fresh. As far as recommendations go, I don’t know how this site usually functions, but it seems the management needs to do a better job of dine in/to go prep in the balance in the back. The larger groups eating before us gives me an indication our ticket was skipped over (several times possibly).
Food is great as always. <----This is as good as this review gets. This is a culmination of 3 visits I have experienced at this Cracker Barrel. I do want to say before I dive in I believe this establishment is understaffed and maybe under trained. Either way here it goes. Waits are a little long, longer than they tell you when you check in. In our most recent visit we were told 25 minutes with a party of 7. 45 minutes later and 2 visits to the host we finally got our table. It was another half hour before we got our beverages, 20 minutes after that half of our food order showed up. The other half came 15-20 minutes after that.In general over 3 visits, staff is slow to get to the tables initially, drinks are slow to arrive, food is even slower.
I use to love this place and wanted to bring my family here as I haven’t been in years. It was quick getting seated as we added our name on the list online. However once seated it took 10 minutes for the waitress even to acknowledge us to take our drink orders or even introduce herself. It was nice finding out that they offer mimosas now however I wouldn’t suggest them as they are hot, not surged in proper glass and was made with a purée that wasn’t mixed. Food was descent as expected but would have been better if my pancakes weren’t cold and my scrambled eggs weren’t runny. I would have asked for a new order but I didn’t see the waitress again after. All in all I will continue going to my other preferred breakfast establishments
Arrived at this Cracker Barrel location around 11am, did not get seated until 12:15pm. At first, I was not upset because it was a Sunday morning and I was expecting a wait, however, once we were seated we ordered both food and drinks immediately as we had worked up quite the appetite waiting outside. Our server was extremely kind and understanding of our frustration, so I do not fault her at all, but our food took an hour and a half to get to the table after we had ordered. The management staff was just walking around, while customers were noticeably frustrated with how long the food was taking. The kitchen was slow, the eggs were cold once they got to the table, and I was overall very disappointed in the long wait times for food I had received at this location, because other locations are usually quick and a great experience. I will not be returning to this location, and I hope corporate management does something about this because the management at this facility is obviously not.
Most of my food was cold eggs were cold pancakes were cold the sausage petty tasted bad the ham steak was way too thin besides that nice people there
We stopped in and were greeted by smiles and friendly conversation. Our waitress was awesome with her ability to keep us well stoked and happy while doing the same with her other tables. Even with the fact it was a bit busy when we were there we still got served our food in a timely manner. The apple butter was great by the way. Y'all head on over and get some good supper and tea.
Waited over an hour for our food to arrive and nearly 30 minutes for our server to return with our checks. Why???
