I have loved Yafo since it first opened in Charlotte, but it continues to get better over time. It started out as just the BYO bowl concept, but Shai has really expanded the menu recently and I love it. This location tends to be where they experiment with new things first. His most recent addition is weekend brunch. We got to try it at an Unpretentious Palate even yesterday and we loved it. It's weekends from 11-1 for the next 4 weeks only at this location. They may do it again in May at East Blvd. For brunch you get 8 mezze, yogurt, and bread to share between two people. Then you pick an entree to share. It's $40 for two people and we were full after. You can also add on mimosas for $10.The mezze were my favorite part. I loved the variety and uniqueness of them. We went with the Shakshuka which was delicious. As for more bread if you run out.My husband is dying to try the french toast casserole, so I'm guessing we'll be back.
I got the chicken sandwich and cauliflower with tahini and both tasted sooo good. The sandwich was huge actually lol wasn’t expecting that, so I had left overs. It was spicy too, but not too spicy. I could still taste the flavor. I like this location better than the others, because the food isn’t greasy here like the other locations
So convenient. Can place the order on my app, walk over and grab and go. Something for whatever mood I am in, from healthy fare, to that Yogurt Mac & Cheese and Chicken Schnitzel that simply tastes amazing every time.
I decided to give this place a try with the high ratings and I went with my family so we were all able to get different things to try. It was my family’s first time eating Mediterranean food so they were having a hard time choosing especially since the workers weren’t helping out too much so I had to step in and help but I didn’t mind at the moment. I built my own bowl with salmon, rice, hummus, cucumber & tomato salad, and a couple other things in it which was all really good. Also got to try the spicy chicken sandwich and it was also really tasty and great (pretty spicy though!) anyways, I highly recommend.

Great place to get a family meal. I have only ever gotten to go but it has always been great and ALOT of food. So we usually get their rotisserie chicken but we switched it up and got their Greek chicken which was delicious. We got their Mac N Cheese because it's the best along with the Brussel Sprouts which were incredible as well. Everything about their family style meal is great. We love the hummus rice and pita that they include with it. I tried 2 sauces that I have never had before. 1 was their standard tahini the other 2 was the schug and the mint vinaigrette. The schug which is a cilantro jalapeno is AWESOME. We will continue to order from Yafo.It is a little heavy on the price. It's $37 versus paying $25 from Viva Chicken. The food quality and quantity is worth it but that is the ONLY factor that keeps me from choosing Yafo every time. The food is awesome tho
Consistently excellent HEALTHY food and service, we have eaten more than a dozen times over last few years while we visit our family in Charlotte. This time three days in a row for the fresh ingredients, healthy yet very tasty and filling meals.Highly recommend Yafo.
This is a great place if looking for a casual dining experience and there are picky eaters in your group. Something for everyone including vegetarians (not sure about vegan). The food is ready with flavors extending beyond typical American fare but not so exotic it's threatening ? (that's for the picky eaters). While environmentally conscious, it also isn't shoved down your throat which is appreciated. The staff are helpful with choices and really nice.
I thought it was great, my partner, who is from Tel Aviv.. not so much but she is impossible to please with middle eastern food in the states!
The flavors and teas were very healing. I needed to heal from all of the stresses life gives you. You can pick the blandest proteins to the spiciest Israelie meats and soups. They have the complete soda bar along with tea mixtures that you wouldn't think of, but you'll flip over. Definitely a good choice for healing. Food delivered fast. Yummy!
