This restaurant is by far one of the worst places to eat that I have visited in Charlotte for several reasons. 1, the food is subpar. One of my party bit into a rolls that was served with the entrée and she got a mouth full of oil. Oil was dripping down her arms and into her lap. The food i was served looked stale and not fresh. We were scared to put the vegetable into the hot boiling pho broth because it looked as if it hadn't been washed and was wilting. Reason 2, the customer service, server, host were abominable. Before ordering I tell my server on 3 separate and distinctive moments, I don't eat a particular item on the entrée and it can be removed. I got his assurance but after delivering the food, lo and behold the items are in my food everywhere. I couldn't risk eating there and lost my appetite. I let the server know and told him the issue and he could take the plate and leave it off the bill. He takes it and places it on a side counter by the entry and leave it there. When it was time to pay, he says to me "you have to pay, we are not in the business to give food away.". At first i was unbothered, nobody is going to make me pay for what i don't want to. Then he commits the greatest disrespectful slight that i have EVER experiences at a restaurant. He pick pick up the phone, pushes the dial tone, looks me directly in the face says " I feel threatened". That caused a lot of confusion in my mind because i wasn't argumentative nor had deviated from a calm tone. For everyone who doesn't understand the statement, to people of color it means I going to call the police and your life maybe in danger. At that point, I realized i was dealing with a desperate racist. I paid and left. This place is trash in every sense of the word. The bathroom is trash. The food is Trash. The service is trash.
Extremely rude management. Please learn some manner They got upset because I came to pick up early after 20 min from order placed? I was fine with waiting with a smile. Yet they are rude and points a finger at me to why I'm early. Then proceeds to tell me to wear a mask when the mandate is down already. funny and sad. Oh yeah. the food was not only late. but cold.
If there was a lesser rating, I'd choose it for this "restaurant". I've eaten at some dives and have had delicious meals. However, I will not patronize this establishment again. The food was just ok and considering the price in was just mediocre.. The Pho was good but I've had better. The ambiance was confusing & very humdrum which added even less enthusiasm. Worst of all, the dishes were filthy. I had to stop my daughter from drink out of her cup because the was a black "thing" in it and mine was visibly filthy so, I didn't bother to use it. AND I had to request a bowl of steaming hot water the clean my utensils. When asked 'why', explained and the reaction was unapologetic with an undertone of 'whatever'. When I requested the bill, the attendant saw the large amount of food left and said he would come back with to-go boxes with turned to be a large, foil baking dish in which he pull all of our leftovers in TOGETHER! If you choose to make this a meal destination, just remember...the prices are high, the food is risky because the cups & utensils are filthy. I shutter to imagine what the kitchen looks like and what they're doing as the food is being prepared on the inside of another room/kitchen. Normally, this wouldn't bother me but it started to...more and more and more. BTW I spent about $190 with tip for 2 large variety platters, 2 Pho, 4 appetizers. Wish I had that money back.
The seafood pho was amazing but this is how the rolls came. I was really disappointed when I got home to see them obviously over cooked. Not worth the price of $8.99.
OMG OMG. I have never in my life felt so unwanted as a customer. I work for Grubhub and I walked in this restaurant to pickup a order. I waited patiently and told the man the name of the person. He also told me that there were three numbers that I had to give to him. The man ended up telling me that he could not give me an order due to the fact of me not wearing my mask. I went to the car and got my mask. Once I had came back he also said that he did not want to give me the order. I kindly asked why and he excused me of being a thief. I dont understand how I could be a thief with my Grubhub bag in hand and I have the order number on my phone. Then he mumbles that "ALL YOU PEOPLE ARE THIEVES". I asked because I'm black you think I'm a thief? This is discrimination at it's finest! I will never come here again.
Wow! My husband and I are frequent visitors, but today will be my last. I placed our drink orders while my husband used the restroom, apparently the male waiter was upset about the amount of tissue my husband placed in the toilet, told us it’s a sign that states to NOT place tissue in toilet but in a trashcan located in the corner..KEEP IN MIND MY HUSBAND TOOK A NUMBER 2!!!!!! This has to be the most unsanitary restaurant ever! He was super rude about it, mind you we were eating when came up and said it’s expensive to have a plumber fix it, just to let us know! I will NOT let this go I will call the health department and BBB! This has to end immediately before they spread germs to us all.. DISGUSTING ?
I’m a frequent visitor but today will be my last, I strongly recommend another location..We were approached while eating about the amount of tissue placed in the toilet, guy at the front told my husband they have a sign to NOT place tissue in toilet instead place tissue in trash can, mind you my husband took a # 2…(Very disgusting) He also had a terrible attitude about it, told us while clapping his hands and moving his head around that it’s expensive to repair toilet.. WOW how could that be sanitary, how could you come to a customer and even suggest that? Lord only knows how many people used the restroom and disposed the tissue that way.. Disgusting
The man at the front to greet people is very rude no customer service at all . I order my food & received the wrong item. I asked if it could be fixed He caught an attitude with me about that also about sauce containers. He refused to give me containers to pour sauce. I just tasted my food ZERO flavor , very blend. The beef was so dry it tasted like jerky. I'm very disappointed because I respect the cuisine a lot but the service & food was poor
I placed my order through Door Dash. Whoever I spoke with on the phone was very rude. I checked the app and my order was still being prepared. I called ahead to ask for extra fish sauce and to remove peanuts. He said my order already went out, and rushed me off the phone. I contacted Doordash and confirmed a dasher had not been assigned and my order was not picked up. I called again, and was rudely dismissed yet again. I will not be ordering from here again.
The Asian guy at the front was very rude and had an unhelpful demeanor, I was just picking up my order! Never coming here again and don’t recommend you do unless you want to get served your food with a side of attitude !
