Great place to go for breakfast or lunch. Good food fast service. Nice folks.
This place has an airy old charm atmosphere. We came for a late breakfast. I ordered the breakfast burrito which was tasty and large. I ate half and took the other half home to eat later. My wife and daughters split one large breakfast. Overall a good time was had by all. And, my eldest colored a beautiful picture of a whale.
We had at a nice late lunch at this unassuming cafe on Rozzelle's Ferry. There's an "order here" sign at the register, but while we looked at the menus, the friendly cashier suggested we take them to a table and he'd come get our orders when we were ready. We sat on the covered patio and enjoyed a breakfast burrito and jerk chicken salad sandwich.Afterwards, craving something sweet, we went inside to look at their baked goods and decided on a blueberry biscuit. All the food was good and really affordable at under $10. You can conveniently pay on your phone too, at your own time when you're done.
The woman working the coffee side was rude. She kept directing me away from her.She told me to have a seat, then took her sweet time, and then told someone else to finish. All the time she had no customers. The food is half decent. The shrimp and grits was like spaghetti. I would eat elsewhere.
Toucan louies is the place to go if you want fresh coffee (the owner roast his coffee beans himself), hot homemade food, everything is freshly made , to hand patted hamburgers, home made pancake batter , dressings, grits, Freshly squeezed lemonade ,etc. The atmosphere is extremely friendly and welcoming , there’s even nice patio seating, they are also dog friendly!
Our party needed a last minute place to get breakfast, and Toucan was able to accommodate and give us an amazing experience. They were incredibly kind and patient. The food was amazing and had the home cooked feel that you can barely find. The atmosphere was fun and everything was very clean. We will definitely eat there again the next time we visit Charlotte
Great little breakfast / brunch spot, if you don't mind home cooking and cheap mimosas. I took my girlfriend to brunch here and had a great time. We've been trying to support small local restaurants, and this is a good one. It's a bit off the beaten path, but is worth checking out. Friendly servers and great home cooked food. I recommend to anyone who wants a good breakfast or brunch. Also, very reasonably priced, considering the carafe of mimosa me and my girlfriend happily polished off. Not a conventional restaurant, more like a diner, but great if you want a fun eating experience.
Small cool little gem. Basic beer selection.. nice place to go to lay low and have a drink
Really solid diner in a part of charlotte about to explode with growth. I come here for lunch occasionally and am always satisfied by the food, service, and people. They've cultivated a pleasant, homey southern Cafe-diner experience. I do hope they get reusable utensils and plates soon, though.
I didn't know this place existed. It's a chill place to hang out. Food was good! I had the Cuban Sandwich. I really like the Leg Lamp from The Christmas Story movie. Lady was nice so ill be going back.
