First off! When I walked in the door, I was asked if I was picking up and order and I said no. Then I was told that I had 1 minute to order. I asked if they had oxtails because that is all I wanted. She said yes! So I ordered my daughter a plate and I asked for a side of oxtails. She said that they didn’t do sides I would have to buy another plate. I proceeded to tell her I cannot eat what comes with it. So I said I will take a plate with collards and cabbbage. She rung me up and the total was $24.98. So when I got my bag there was one plate. FOR $25!!! Bihhh whaT! So she says I didn’t here you say another plate. Like we had a whole conversation about me not being able to eat certain things and what I could eat. So on top of this being over priced, there was no gravy, they were small, and it was overall not good! I promise I will not be back. Sometimes I hate trying new.
The jerk chicken dinner entree was good. Comes with rice, two sides, and two plantains. Ton of food! I wish they had a smaller version with no rice for a bit less.
I don’t typically write reviews unless I am very happy or unhappy with the service. Unfortunately, this is not a good review. One of the worst Jamaican spots I’ve been to. Both my husband and I were sick after eating only a portion of our meals. I highly believe they are serving food that is old & not prepared the same day. Nothing had sauce on it. I don’t know how you have brown stew chicken with no browning sauce & oxtails with no sauce. Both of these dishes should be prepared in sauce but our plates were bone dry without a lick of sauce on the meat or rice. We have been frequent to the restroom since eating this food and very disappointed. They have 2 spirited men for cashier that are very enthusiastic about a lot of things but not customer service. Don’t waste your time or money here, should have went to the Thai place next door.
In Charlotte for and decided to visit this location. The food was so delicious! (I tried the Jerk Salmon) Service was also good. I can’t wait to return!
Thank you very much for cooking a flavorful dinner for my husband and me. We loved our order. I had salmon over rice and he had the chicken sandwich. I tried the coleslaw his sandwich came with and it was yummy.Also, the fried plantains were super nice and the collard greens was served hot. The food was fresh and we were happy.
1st time here.Food was excellent and staff was super-friendly and helpful.I had the Jerk Chicken and Waffle and it was, by far, the best chicken and waffle experience I’ve ever had. The waffle was crispy but still soft and the chicken was tender and perfectly-seasoned.Will definitely be making a return here in the future.
This is the restaurant you shouldn’t miss! We ordered the chicken lunch with salad and fried sweet potato as sides! The chicken tasted so flavorful! I love the bean rice as well! Fried sweet potato fries are hot and crispy! will come back for sure to try some other things!
Tried this place today while in town and so happy we did! The lady at the counter was super friendly. Food was awesome. We had the jerk pork tacos and jerk chicken sandwich. Both had a perfect amount of spiciness and good flavor. We also had spicy beef patties and loved them. The beef had great flavor. The mac and cheese was one of the best mac and cheeses I've ever had. Next time I'm in Charlotte, I'll definitely be stopping back here!
We love the food and service here at Jerk Joint. The on-line ordering makes it quick and efficient. Our food is always fresh when we come to get it and so flavorful. I've lived in the Caribbean and come here to get my fix of good jerk.
Hands down THE BEST Caribbean restaurant have tried in Charlotte ?The restaurant is bright and inviting with delicious fragrances of jerk chicken and the like wafting in the air!!The food...ON POINT! The prices just right! I would go here again and again and again. I would even have them cater an event for me because their standard of cleanliness, impeccable!!
