This is our favorite restaurant for fine dining in the Charlotte area. Every course was cooked perfectly with great but not overwhelming flavors. Even the ice cream was not overly sweet. The presentation was just right - looked nice without creating a "food tower" that crashes over as soon as you touch it with your fork. Our server and all of the staff were very accommodating and pleasant. They did everything we asked for and more. I rated "value" lower only because of the super high markups on bottles of wine, which is unfortunately common to nearly all restaurants.
If youâre looking for a night out on the town with that special someone, The FigTree is the place. I was celebrating my 24th anniversary and for the 1st time in about 15 years we made plans to stay around home instead of traveling. I planned a night out and Iâm telling you the truth I was extremely satisfied with the menu, pricing, service, and serenity. You and that special someone will be overwhelmed with this local restaurant. We will definitely be go back again, please try the fried oysters and pork belly appetizer and the veal was so tender at medium well that if I had dentures I couldâve taken them out. I really enjoyed the place and atmosphere.
The flavors in every dish were outstanding! I wish I could buy the bread by the loaf! Donât skip on dessert because it was a showstopper. The service was amazing our server made sure everything was perfect and she was so nice and welcoming. The hostesses were equally welcoming and pleasant.
It was difficult to choose an entree as there were so many outstanding offerings. Our party had the NC Rainbow trout, lamb loin and fettuccine. All of the entrees were well prepared, tasty and left all of us wanting more. The escargot was excellent and the mixed green salad was fresh and tasty. We rounded out our dinner with the Key Lime cake which was unique, refreshing and beautiful on the plate. The only negative to the dining experience was that there was too much time between courses.
First time.. overall amazing! Ordered Appetizers Octopus- Oysters- Burrata- Octopus had amazing flavors! Entrees Sea Bass- Elk chop both were delicious!! Desserts.. I don’t remember the name of it but it was Banana.. just save room for it!! Or order it first! It was a great way to celebrate our anniversary!
