This is such a diamond in the rough type place. We love to sneak away for a quick bite. And enjoy some Tikka Marsala sauce. I am a wimp so I don't do the spice, but the sweet flavors dance around my pallet like a song. The bread is fab, and I just tried the cauliflower it was amazing! Definitely try this place if you can. It's kind of tucked away but that makes it more intimate for a date. Great for brunch! It makes great leftovers.
We had a great experience at Blue Taj. We had a visitor with us from India and he was extremely complimentary of the food. Highly recommend. Mike Collins
We love the food at Blue Taj and usually receive good service. However, we went for an early dinner on Mother’s Day and were told they weren’t accepting walk ins. This I understand, it being Mother’s Day. What I did not understand was why the young lady chose to deliver the information so rudely. I will think very hard about giving my business to them from now on.
What is happening here… I have been a regular at this place for the last ten years… portions keep getting smaller, they continue to pass on all expenses to the consumer and charging way more, food is mediocre! I understand rising costs everywhere but seriously the restaurant is taking advantage… higher prices, smaller portions and reduced size of protein ( chicken size is not even half of what they serve red previously). This is a three way benefit to the restaurant. I am calling for a boycott of this place. Let revenues suffer and maybe they will realize what loyalty means
Some of the worst service iv had from a restaurant in a long time. Waited over 25 minutes for our waiter to bring the bill and box the left overs. Naan was not crispy, and they even charged us for sliced onions and chilies on the side.Have never seen a Indian restaurant make you pay for such a basic side that is usually served complimentary.Blue taj is definitely not what it used to be.
I cannot rate the Blue Taj highly enough. They are a superb restaurant with amazing staff and equally impressive culinary masterpieces.We have a favorite Indian dish that was not on the menu, Lamb Tikka Masala. Upon request they obliged and custom made the dish for us FAR exceeding our expectations.The environment and ambiance is relaxing and authentic, you truly feel as if you are eating in the luxurious home of a good friend from India.We plan to be back many many more time, I highly recommend the Blue Taj

Best Indian food in the charlotte area! We always go for dinner, although we tried the buffet once and thoroughly enjoyed it. Highly recommend the lamb dishes - Korea and curry are our favorites
