The food was okay nothing memorable, price was great

The Asbury was the perfect spot for a meal before heading to the Belk theater for a matinee. This is not the first time I have enjoyed the food at The Asbury and it certainly won't be the last. Kudos to everyone.

Staff was friendly but food left a lot to be desired.

We had a mixed experience at brunch. Service was pleasant but not very effective, the menu doesn't list upcharges for some items, resulting in a bill that didn't make sense, and the server really let us order too much food. Finally, the main courses cam much, much too soon after the starters were delivered. We started with the banana walnut bread and a fruit cup. These took too long to arrive and the banana walnut bread, while tasty was much too large for two people. Our server should have said something. However, the work part was that even before getting two bites of the starter, the main courses showed up. This kind of defeats the purpose of a starter. Then at at the end, items on the bill totaled to $42 but we were charged $44. No indication of why this would be. When we asked, we were told the potato pancakes had a $1 uncharge. This was not mentioned on the paper menu nor mentioned by the server. This is almost fraudulent. Certainly left a bad taste in our mouth. I will note that the on-line version of the menu seems to mention the charge.

We had breakfast and it was surprisingly delicious!

Very good the lighting

The staff was friendly, the Bloody Mary's were just right, and the food was delicious. My husband said the chicken and waffles were some of the best he's ever had!

We were somewhat disappointed and felt that this dinner experience did not measure up to previous ones. Server, while friendly, was not very polished and her long hair was not pulled back. Limited menu, particularly among the appetizers, and the atmosphere was not congruent with the price point. Entrees not very hot; likely not promptly brought out to the table.

Food was excellent and service was great.

A group of chefs and I ate brunch at The Asbury. While the menu options and the presentation of the food was great, sadly, there was absolutely no seasoning whatsoever on the food. It was all bland. I am not a fan of having to add salt on food once it is plated. Could have really been great if they would simply buy some salt for their kitchen.
