I had the pollo enchilada plate with black beans & rice that was good (picture attached) A picture of the entrance from the airport concourse is also attached. The bad thing was the airport wifi didn’t work inside the restaurant. Had to walk outside to get a signal!
Hey, not bad for a Mexican joint in an airport in NC (not know for their Mexican food, LOL). I got enchiladas, my wife got a chicken burrito, of the two the burrito was better, but both were good. Great service from our very busy server Maria.
Second time here, once for lunch and once for breakfast. I felt the same way both times when ordering here. The food is mediocre at best, while paying the high airport prices. This place makes you feel like you got covid: it has all the expected texture, but has no taste. The only thing this place has going for it is that the to-go line has no one in line, and makes you wonder why.
Please ask for Rafael - he’s a great server! Everything is made from scratch- the salsa was incredible! My wife and I split the chicken salad taco - we couldn’t eat all of the chicken - there had to be at least two pieces of marinated chicken! We plan to go back next time traveling thru Charlotte!
Food was mediocre. Not enough help. Thanks uncle Joe. Margaritas are $22.99 but that’s not listed on the menu. It used to be a decent place. Not anymore.
We waited in line for quite a while, which was understandable since we were in the airport. Once we were seated at the bar, two of the bartenders spent most of their time talking to each other rather than taking/making orders so the third was left doing the work. We ordered chips and salsa, queso, and guacamole as well as a round of drinks. The food was okay and the drinks were terrible. We were going to order meals but it took so long for someone to come back to us that we decided not to order. When we got the check, we found out the margaritas were $24. This was a shock as there are no prices listed on the cocktails but the wine prices seemed reasonable.
This is in the Charlotte airport. We were traveling since early morning and were hungry. My husband ordered a beer and I splurged and had a bloody mary. We also go an order of nachos. When we got the bill, the nachos were more than the price on the menu and the bloody mary was $22!! The waitress says they change the prices all the time. She is always getting irate customers. We found out from our waitress that the margaritas were $25. The price for the drinks is not on the menu. The people next to us (4 of them) were ordering bloody mary's and margaritas as well as food. When they got the bill, they were furious. All in all it was a less than adequate meal for 5 star prices. Stay away.
Tequileria in the Charlotte airport is a regular stop for me on layovers. Ok, we all know that everyone is understaffed, and airport food is expensive. But given the other options at CLT, and how busy the food court is, this is still a good spot if you want a sit down place, and a drink while you’re waiting for a flight. I have usually found the breakfast menu to be pretty good, and staff as nice as expected, when they are understaffed.
The restaurant was not even half full but the wait was ridiculously long, however the saddest part was the absolute horrible food they try to pass of as Mexican. They were out of Don Julio, and the margaritas were really bad tasting as well. On top of that the service was mediocre at best. Terrible quality of food, plus they were out of several plates narrowing the choice down and the prices were astronomical, don't know if that was because it was at the airport, but we will never ever visit this "establishment" again. Do yourself a favor and don't fall for this.
At the charlotte airport there is a little place, Tequileria. We hoped maybe a breakfast burrito would be palatable but needed veggies after flying with not much more than peanuts to eat. Boy were we surprised! They have a roasted chicken salad that was incredible! Chicken was seasoned and not dried out, the lettuce was crisp and fresh and dressing was spicy enough, corn, beans, chopped tomato round out a generous portion of greens. Satisfied our veggie craving and I will remember it for next time for sure.
