This place never fails. Taqueria number 1 is my go-to for a quality and affordable meal. The food is so good and priced fairly. They are also pretty quick with preparing the food. never have to wait too long. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The street tacos are always a great choice and their fries are really good! Don’t forget to try the horchata and tres leches cake - thank me later:)
I love this place for authentic Mexican tacos. Pleasant workers as well, Reuben is always a great smile!
Worst food ever, me and my boyfriend tried “Taqueria number 1” for the first time we completely regret it, we ordered a tres leches cake which was FROZEN!! literally you could feel the ice pieces in your mouth, we also ordered three carne asada tortas, they missed one, and the steak was extra salty, the horchatas were extra sweet. The tortas did not come with avocado and tomatoes as they said on the description on the menu. NEVER ORDER FROMHERE AGAIN!
An accident on Independence had traffic backed up so we came here on a whim. The chicken quesadilla was excellent and had tons of flavor. We also had 3 tacos and they were very good as well. Fresh, hot chips with medium spicy salsa were served to us when we sat down. Will be coming back on purpose next time!
Love coming to Taqueria #1 especially for Taco Tuesday. The food is delicious every time. I love to order the tacos, huarache, cheese dip, taquitos... Everything is delicious! Ambiance is nice and it is always clean.
Went for $1.50 tacos on Tuesday. Really good! We tried them all and we will for sure be back again. They have a good selection of aguas frescas plus tres leches for dessert.
Amazing food & super fast great if your going for a lunch break and need something fast and the owner is very friendly and tentative.
My husband and I tried Taqueria Number 1 for the first time tonight: chicken alambre, 3 pupusas, and guacamole with chips togo. The food was SO good it made me sentimental because it reminded me so much of eating in Mexico! The flavorful salsas and fresh tortillas made everything that much better. Everything is also fairly priced for the portions and quality of food you receive. We can't wait to eventually try the whole menu, 10 stars!
New to Charlotte and searching for great tacos. These street tacos and quesadilla were delicious and will definitely be coming back! We were impressed and happy with this find. Tacos are only $1.99 on a normal day and $1.50 on Tuesdays.
They lose two stars for falsely advertising al pastor (Mexico City style). Apparently they only do it some days, but you don't know that until you go there. The food is good, but no better than any other taqueria.
