Taipei South set the gold standard for chicken and broccoli for myself. I’ve eaten at numerous Chinese restaurants over the years and absolutely nothing compared toTaipei. Whether you are getting take out, or eating in, you will not be disappointed.
The customer service here was HORRIBLE!!! The lady at the counter was very rude. The food was cold and Disgusting! Even the egg roll was soggy. Please cook better.
My husband and I tried this place on recommendation from a friend. BIG MISTAKE. I ordered Crab Rangoon… very bland, no flavor. My entree was Sesame Chicken with fried rice and a spring roll. I took two bites of rice - again ZERO flavor! My chicken was bathing in what tasted like Barbecue sauce— yuck and to top it off the chicken was fried so hard it could break a molar! Needless to say, didn’t eat that crap either! The waitress once advised of my dislike never offered to replace or comp any part of it or anything! Poor food, poor service.. will never go back and do not recommend at all. Of note, there was a lady sitting in the booth behind me that had ordered Lo Mein and it had plastic in it. She told the server and the server told the cook and all he could say was “ sorry it won’t happen tomorrow”! RIDICULOUS!!!
Always consistently delicious whether in person or take out...have been going here for 20+ years and won't go anywhere else if I can help it. Prices are very reasonable and worth the drive, food is ready shortly after calling and staff is always pleasant!
Basic food, but reasonable prices. It's what you would consider Chinese fast food. Also, they should really consider changing the name of the restaurant. Calling themselves a Taiwanese restaurant is really misleading. They do not serve Taiwanese cuisine, what they serve is some basic-tier Americanized Chinese grub, which is fine, just don't call yourself a Taiwanese restaurant
Great food. Didn't dine in but very clean on the inside. Great service. Good pricing as well. Food is really, really good. Reminds me of my days in NY with NY Chinese food!

Me and my grandmother went to Taipei last night we ate some chicken and shrimp fried rice and they had gave us water that tasted like it came from the sink, chicken that had been sitting out all day that they dipped back in the grease, we asked for a spring roll and they gave us and egg roll. Also, we having been there multiple times and never had bad food. What happened yesterday?! All I got to say is that my grandma had an upset stomach and i didn’t appreciate how they have known us to come in and get good food and they give us old food. Then at that my grandma tried to call and talk to them about how the food was old and they acted like they couldn’t talk to her which is rude. I don’t appreciate that and this is coming from a customer who has been going there for many years and we have never got treated this way before until yesterday. Thank you for your time!
