I love this place. I always have very good customer service. I usually get the fried chicken with potato salad and Mac and cheese. Today i changed it up and got meatloaf instead of the fries chicken. It was on point. I try to go at least 2 times a week.
We ordered through Uber eats and the food was delivered fast.The turkey was half done and pink in the inside. We had to finish cooking them in the oven. The collards were so salty that my mouth is burning I can’t get enough water. The yams ? were burnt. The dressing had lumps in it.But we ate the chicken rice and Mac and cheese. The desserts - sweet potato pie and peach cobbler were store bought. Nothing to text home about.
It's easy to miss if you're not familiar with the area. I just discovered this little place and I am satisfied with both the customer service and the food. The food is really good. It's only 1 of 2 soul food restaurants in Charlotte I deal with now.
Food was so damn good....forgot to take pic before we ate. Good grilled food, yams were homemade and dressing was goid. My burger was made with fresh ground beef and fresh veggie toppings. Fries were good. Not over seasoned
On a random Saturday evening after cooking a Chinese dish for my family, I happened to have a craving for some Soul Food. I DoorDash’d my favorite soul food meal (fried chicken, collards, pintos & cornbread).. & it was delicious! I will absolutely order from here again! ??
Always bad customer service. They often yell at people to wait outside...sometimes literally raising their voices...Great food, but very rude to customers especially when its busy. I might not look like the typical customer, but my money can be spent elsewhere when I want some fried chicken and collards. I don't think anyone should be treated that way.
I had the smothered pork chops, and they were delicious! I also had corn pudding and candied yams, they were amazing as well! It was a lot of food for $13, delicious food for great prices
I wanted to rate this a 5. But the customer service is never quite up to par when I go. I typically go here prior to holidays to get chitterlings so I don’t have to cook them my house or smell them. They are always good but even when I called to ask a question, the phone service was not great. Just a feeling of being rushed/like I’m bothering them. Also have tried the Mac and cheese. It’s ok but I opted to make my own instead the next time I had a craving. The customer service has thwarted me from visiting more often even though I live in the area. Maybe I should give it more chances throughout the year.
So I literally just ordered Via DoorDash, this was the worst food. I ordered something simple very very SIMPLE….a Veggie Plate. Collards, Dressing and Macaroni. These collards tasted so BLAND, my Dressing was Mush with Gravy and my Macaroni was actually good. I also ordered a slice of Pound Cake that tasted like a Lemon Rind. It was literally no GOOD. I would not suggest anyone preset from here I am so dissatisfied and disgusted with the Food. Such a disappointment.
Mac good, wings good . Cornbread went in the trash immediately and yams taste like nothing jus soft potatoes
