I've been going there since I was a little girl. I would take my dog there every weekend. She loved it and I love ❤️ the Philly steak and cheese with onions . I would say I've been going to this place since I was 10 years old 44 years. No complaints.
I got a Philly steak they must have thought I was a rabbit there was more lettuce on it than anything it was Bland and my tomato cucumber salad was totally tasteless will not be going back ever
I ordered a Italian hero .I got some kind of meat that nobody knows what it is . The bread was so bad . They did not toast it was missing oil and vinegar . I guess they don't pride in what they make . I give them a 2

Great food, great prices. The reason they dont get 5 is because this establishment isnt as clean as the one in matthews. The floors aren't clean when you walk in and doesnt look anything as kept as the other store. 3.5 stars!

Steak & Hoagie in Hickory closed about 20 years ago. I was recently in Charlotte for a medical visit, and was searching Google on my phone for someplace to eat after my appointment. I was surprised to see Steak and Hoagie open in its original location on Eastway Drive near Garringer High School. The food is as good as I remember from when I ate there in 1979-1983, and then later at their Hickory shop. Their Greek-seasoned chicken is great! And the prices are very reasonable.
It's a nice place food is good I just wish the cook would wear a mask while preparing and serving.
Food was Hot, Service was Good.. Establised was Clean, Everyone had Masks and Gloves... The Best...
