I was a little nervous about trying Sports One based off some reviews. It must’ve been a bad day because we enjoyed our visit. Food was delicious, staff was pleasant and the DJ is a nice touch. Try the Fish & Grits! Hittin’!
I had the pleasure of having Raven as our bartender and Bre as the MOD got the day. My experience was more than great. Both were very attentive and they made sure me and my girls were good. If you’re ever in Charlotte be sure to visit them both. They were Amazing!
I have been wanting to go here for years. Finally made it when me and my sis took our girls down for a mother daughter weekend. We went to brunch. The food was delicious. Everyone enjoyed everything. We couldn't complain about anything. We had fish and grits, shrimp and grits, chicken and waffles. I had a side of the red velvet waffles and they were amazing with that henny butter. I also had the Queen City which was great. Our waitress was very nice. She told us it was going to be a bit of a wait for our food but it actually came out sooner than expected. The wait wasn't a problem at all because they had a DJ who was really good. He was playing the right music from like the 90s early 2000s and it was also very good. I wanted to go back for brunch the Sunday before we left but we were crunched for time. I will definently be back.
Loved the food and the atmosphere. It is a bit small so it does fill up fast for bar seating but you can also reserve a table. Other than that, loved it and will definitely be back!
This spot was definitely a WHOLE VIBE! The food was great, the music was on POINT(barely could eat) “DJ Fatman” had the hits for days. And customer service from our AMAZING waitress, Derrick was A1, from the time we walked in from the time we left. We also had another waitress that took our order she was super nice also.(didn’t get her name). This was definitely an ALL five star experience. Definitely looking forward to visiting again. the music was good but I was charged $20 for a one drink. ONE DRINK!!! The bar no longer looked chic and it was cash only. The aesthetic looked like your local neighborhood bar and I will no longer be returning. The music was good but this bar was disgusting which was a huge change from when I moved to CLT two years ago.
Nice staff. I believe parking next door is free in the evenings and weekends for visitors.Food takes a while. I was here with a group and they set my expectations for that.The credit card machine was down, thankfully I had cash... Or I would have to use the ATM to pay for my meal.My shrimp and grits were great. I don't drink, so I had the strawberry lemonade. It had fruit pieces and was very tasty.I enjoyed the music / DJ... I really appreciate someone that can actually mix and blend without yelling on the mic.
I arrived at the location 1:45PM and was informed about the wait being 30mins. After being seated at 2:41PM we didn’t receive any service until 3:30 while also being informed it was a cash only establishment. We received our food at 4:40PM with minimum service and no interaction with management for inconvenience and wait. The chicken and waffles were good after the long wait. Only come if you want drinks. The wait and service aren’t good
From out of town. Went here last night by accident an actually ended up staying. After 10 pm $10 cover. Nice women. Great Dj. Decent wings a Lil chewy for the fried hard wing eaters. Nice atmosphere overall ??
Delicious drinks! The sangria is amazing and so is the lemon drop martini.
