Great food,prices not too bad,and good service!
Best onion rings on the planet.
By no means a bad burger - just an okay example of fast-food overcooked patty. The onion rings didn't deserve notable mention - they were average edibles. The winner choice was the fried speckled trout plate - delicate and flaky white fish fried to golden perfection. 3 large filet pieces was more than enough lunch, and greatly enjoyed......that's what earns 4 rating rather than a 3. I'd come back for the fish, but skip the burgers.
I have always wanted to stop but today was the first time I did. Seems to be run very good every one was friendly and helpful. The burger was very good but was expecting it to be a little bigger. Definitely will go back but will try something different.
This is a step back in time !! Old time drive in and the food is great! Definitely worth a visit!

A pleasant trip down memory lane for a native Charlottean. I love their fried chicken. However the other day I tried the perch plate-it was SO good. They make their own tartar sauce and vinegar slaw. My husband got the Super Boy. It was so good. Make your soul feel good food! The inside of the place is neat and very clean.Cant wait to go back! Thank you for keeping it nostalgic, affordable, and great!

Love Love Love this place I always go to this location because I get the best service. They know who I am on the phone as I make my order they always say see you in ten minutes Renee. The food is Always in point never disappointed by anything from this location. I will continue to go there as often as I can. I grew up coming to this location an the old south Blvd location was where it all started for me as a child. But my daddy worked at the colesium across the street so we always got to come there before we went to the circus or Rodeo or what ever we got to go to that year. South 21 has always been the BEST BURGER PLACE IN CHARLOTTE! ??
Old fashioned and delicious! Authentic 1950s drive in with friendly service and fresh, flavorful food. I had the 1/2 chicken plate that came with 4 pieces of chicken, cole slaw, french fries and 2 dinner rolls. The chicken was crispy and fried to perfection. It was so relaxing enjoying the food and watching the beautiful Charlotte sunset. We will most definitely be back! Special thanks to Guy Fieri w/Diners, Drive Ins and Dives for featuring this gem!
