This was the best place we ate at on a recent trip to Charlotte.From a completely unique, one of a kind menu to the overall vibe. We thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience at Soul Gastrolounge.We tried a multitude of different options as the menu is just so unique. I can't say that any particular dish was my "favorite," but they were all great!You'll likely see other reviews referencing the Asian Glazed Pork Belly Tacos. There's a reason...... Just freaking try them, they're wild, and crazy, and awesome!I'd definitely eat here again on our next visit!!!
We went to soul gastrolounge to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday.It was a weekend night so it was pretty busy. We had a wait time of almost 30 minutes. The servers were nice and the music and overall vibe is really good. We ordered asian pork belly tacos, sashimi tuna tacos, truffle fries, and lamb lollipops and cocktails. The lamb lollipops and pork belly tacos were my fav! The truffles fries were pretty salty and sashimi tuna tacos were okay!! I felt the food was on the pricier side given the portion size of the food. But nevertheless the place has a really good vibe and we really had a good time and definitely recommend visiting for a date night!
Head to this spot as soon as possible!!! We visited with work friends having NO idea what to expect. We certainly didn't expect great sushi! The food is magnificent, the service is fast and friendly and the atmosphere is just great! We will go back again and again!
Soul Gastrolounge, quite possibly might just be my favorite restaurant in Charlotte so far. Exquisite food and ambiance make this venue the place to be on any given night. The food was filling and delicious, full-bodied and flavorful. I'll truly make it a point of venture to return here again on my next visit. The music brought a whole vibe and kept in the energy in the room moving. The drinks were creative and strongly full-filling with a wonderful mix of flavors. Our food came out plated wonderfully and tasted even better then they looked. Make a point to visit this spot, you won't regret it.
This place was bussin. Expect a wait if you come here, we anticipated it and didn't mind, it was about an hour to hour and a half. There's tons of things nearby to go to while you wait. We came back after the recommended time but I think we were still in line but there was two open bar seats so we just sat there. All the food was delicious, everyone recommends the pork belly taco and I have to echo that. It's definitely interesting with the watermelon and the sauce on the pork belly was amazing. The bartender was very friendly and helped my girlfriend make a virgin drink and I got one as well. Don't remember what drinks we got but they were really good as well. Great date night spot.
Wow! This place has such a long wait because it’s first come first serve, but it was okay because my boyfriend and I just walked around the area while we waited. We were sat at the bar and the hostesses were really nice about getting us a seat! We tried their small plates- the pork belly watermelon tacos were just as unique and tasty as the reviews say! We also tried the garlic truffle fries, veal short ribs, and the roasted Brussel sprouts. They were all cooked to perfection ? Brandon, the bartender, was very attentive and made me a mocktail that tasted amazing and refreshing. My boyfriend got another bourbon cocktail (the Stupid Hat or something like that) and he loved it. The ambience is very cozy and exclusive, and the place was dark, but it definitely added to the vibe. Would love to come again!
I have been to this restaurant twice now. For the first time, My friend ordered the sashimi sampler and it looked so good and fresh that’s why I went the second time and wanted to try the sashimi plate. Unfortunately, sushi menu is not available on Sundays. We ordered some small plates and they all tasted really good. Fried chicken tasted amazingly tender, the cheese board was great as well. cocktails were strong and we loved them!

Awesome place to come and chill, Great music, great drinks, and of course great food. The Korean Wings are definitely my go too, and the fries!! Best fries in town.
