Good food, fresh food, good southern sweet tea. I wish I got traditional BBQ sauce though.Update 2 years later 8/1/22: The customer service has gone down. It stinks. The people at drive thru on multiple occasions are not friendly.

They have amazing food always. They just never stock up on cups and dark meat everytime i order. The food was hot but the wait was over 15mins. I mean I would give it a try one more time when im really hungry but if they dont have dark meat or cups so I can order a drink again, then imma have to throw y’all away?
Decent food, BUT nasty/arrogant/rude attitude from a female that I’m assuming is the manager (black female long extension braids or twists with glasses and had on a black uniform shirt) She is extremely rude to customers and her associates! She was belittling to the staff! First and last time eating here! I refuse to spend my money where I am not welcome or in a place with workplace hostility! Smithfield needs to rethink leadership at this location.
The food was good tasting thats why I give 2 stars but there was a huge hair that was blonde in my food keep in mind im brunette and it was in the breading so it definitely wasnt mine. I'm not being a Karen but it made me queasy and disgusted. Never giving this place business again.
Great food and great service. So happy to find eastern Carolina barbecue in Charlotte. And their fried chicken and hush puppies are great too. Highly recommend Smithfield's. Be aware that Doordash charges a fee when you place your order online even if you pick it up at the store, but there is no surcharge if you phone in your order and pick it up at the store. Mr. Cox, the manager, is very accomodating and professional.
Good BBQ, had Lg Platter. Generous portions. Sauce, Red was Vinager based.Cole Slaw, Baked Beans were served in addition. Hush Puppies were very good.Dined in, seating area verry clean w/ relaxing environment decorated w/pictures of late 1950's Hollywood Icons!
One of the best drive thru experiences ever! Jasmine was super sweet and thorough. When I pulled around, she was there to greet me with a smile and a little dance. Chris was super nice as well. The order was perfect and delicious as always! Thx Smithfield's!
First time trying them! Food was good! I Horder their bbq sandwich, son ordered their chicken tender sandwich. Both were good, fries where typical fries. Drive thru service was speedy and polite!
The fried chicken was like my grandmother's. Absolutely perfect, baked beans divine and drive thru service very kind/professional. Thanks for the experience. We will be back.
