Mmmmm what a freakin tasty cupcake! I did not go into the store so I can’t speak to the service but this was a very delish cupcake. I was worried they would be too sweet based on some other reviews but I did not find them too sweet. I rarely eat sugar so I’m pretty sensitive to sweets when I eat them and I thought it was great! My friend and I split a red velvet and a lemon one. Red Velvet is one of my favs but the lemon one had a filling inside that was SO good. And the cake was that very nasty “M” adjective that I don’t like to use haha (meaning, the cake was NOT dry). If you’re in the Ballantyne area, this is a great sweet treat!
Staff was super friendly and gave awesome recommendations for our first visit. Lots of flavor options. And they offer a punch card for a free cupcake once you buy 12 you get a free one. Also got ice cream. Will definitely be back.
Picked up a dozen for my son's birthday today. They were soooooooooo good. This place never disappoints..
What a cute little dessert shop! Homemade ice cream, cupcakes, mini cupcakes, cookies, cannoli, cake pops, and even dog treats. They have some indoor seating but we took our order to go. There were only a couple people inside so not a huge line. You can get sample tastes of the ice cream as well.
The cupcakes are absolutely delicious! My husband the vegan one and I had the pink chocolate and apple pie. They were all moist and very flavorful. We highly recommend Smallcakes. They were mouth-watering great.
Today my girlfriend and I went in for a special treat (a couple of small cakes). The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The cakes were moist, crumbly, and delicious. The chef outdid himself.

Ian was super lovely and gave us some of the yummiest treats we’ve ever tasted! Absolutely recommend the cannoli or red velvet treats - absolutely exceptional and superb. Lovely and clean environment inside with great vibes. Definitely recommend!
This place deserves more than 5 stars! Ian hosted us with warm and welcoming energy and the holy cannoli cupcake was the best cupcake and best cannoli I’ve ever had. So glad we stumbled on this place.
I stopped in Smallcakes in Ballantyne this week and walked in to a slice of Heaven!! I had no idea that this gem existed!!! I have been to cupcake stores in the past but always left disappointed. This bakery is different!!!! They were so pleasant and friendly and the cupcakes were so beautiful that it made it hard to choose which ones to purchase! I went with a traditional yellow cake with a (pink) buttercream icing. This cupcake was the best tasting cupcake that I have ever tasted! The icing was AMAZINGGGG and the cake was so fresh and so delicious! I can not wait to go back and try every flavor!!! I highly recommend this precious bakery for great service and amazing taste!!
