Awesome experience, two thumbs up ? !On the outside it's not much, and the inside decor is simple...but the staff and food definitely make up for it. Food is prepared to order, and served fresh and hot; great flavor. We had one item delayed for some reason, a few minutes, but they took care of us with a slice of yummy carrot cake. The staff were very friendly and attentive, they definitely care about their customers. ?
The baklava cheesecake is to die for. Sadly they don't always have it on hand.Update: you're better off going elsewhere during the lunch rush. The food and service is still good as always, but parking is impossible (I've arrived to a completely full lot on multiple occasions), and you'll wince every time your right rear wheel bangs into the ground as you turn right onto 7th. I understand that these aren't factors the restaurant can really do much about, but they're still worth mentioning.
I was once a huge fan of Showmars. That all changed today. I placed a mobile order. When we got there to pick it up it was ready but we were told it wasn't. After waiting a few minutes the guy looks and low and behold it is sitting right next to him almost ready to go, they hadn't ever made the drinks yet. Once we got back to work with the food the gyro platter was just nasty. The gyro meat was burnt and dry. The pita bread bread was hard and tasteless. The quality of Showmars has really gone down. I love how the prices keep going up and the quality keeps going down. I only went to the 7th street location because the university location wasn't accepting orders. This did it for me, I won't be back.
The food was delicious. I ordered the BBQ and tots with a Baklavacheescake. The service was really fast and the music was nostalgic 80’s. This place was really clean, the servers were really nice and seemed happy. I would definitely come back.
Very nice the veggies and fish was good any the restaurant was very clean.Staff treated everyone nice. And the food was done in a timely manner no complaints at all, I'll be having lunch here again.
The service started out pleasant, I noticed FOH doesn’t wear gloves, just sanitizer, so I asked why, because, touching the register, that multiple people use throughout the day, taking cash in some cases, warrants some glove wearing, hand washing, something other than hand sanitizer & then they are in such a hurry they don’t even give the hand sanitizer time to dissipate before handing the food, or are you not using “much”. Then you become defensive and walk away. Don’t worry, we will not be back, I will not tolerate rudeness nor nastiness!
Staff was very friendly. This was my first time visiting and they were very helpful walking me through the menu. Everything was fresh and tasted delicious. Will definitely be back.
Staff had turned off the restaurant phone, which did not allow you to order before arriving. Upon arrival noted that there was only two patrons sitting at the tables eating and no one waiting to order food. Very disappointed. I could have ordered my phone and picked it up. Instead I had to stand around and wait for my order to be prepared.
Reasonably priced food, ordered with no problem online, food was ready when promised, and it was delicious. Definitely worth it.
I wish they still served breakfast. Missing my livermush on the weekend. Came tonite for the flounder and shrimp. Nice to see my favorite waitress still working here. Nice that they recognize the regulars -- even those from years ago. The portions are always large. The Tea is always fresh. And it's nice to sit down for dinner in their renovated space.
