My last experience at this restaurant wasn't too great. I doubt there was a Dominican or even a Caribbean cook here. The Dominican food was not palatable; it didn't taste fresh and was extremely salty. We couldn't finish our food except for the chicken tender and fries everything else was trashed. The place itself looked semi abondoned. The staff was friendly. I don't intend on returning.
Very clean place, atmosphere was great, but food quality was just okay. Slightly on the salty side but wasn't terrible. Their milk and orange drink was one of my favorites from the drink menu. 100% recommend that drink.
Authentic Dominican food!!!!! Came for the weekend (with friends) for the Journey concert April 2022, found this Spanish restaurant and WOW!!! The food, environment, host/server Ms Yiskauri was so sweet! I felt like I was back in Puerto Rico circa 90s!!! ❤️❤️❤️! Will come back soon and recommend my friends when they visit Charlotte!
I came in late, when they were about to close and they showed me the most professionalism and patience with my order. I really missed this place when it was closed. Dominicans, beautiful people and the best food.
If there is Dominican cooking it didn't taste like it... black beans super salty and food was cold. When sent back my steak and onions because it was cold I th was obviously microwaved. And my empanada was disgusting.
The food was mediocre at best, it was my birthday and I wanted some Latin food and didn't want to cook it myself, which I should have. I will not make this my choice again for Latin food.
Made a trip to Charlotte and was craving some mangu and this place has AMAZINNNNNG mangu! I ordered the typical dish of mangu which is mashed plantain with the 3 golpes (salami, cheese and egg) topped with some pickled onion. It’s just as good as the Dominican food in NYC. Also, their chinola and lemonade was 10/10! The best juices I’ve had. The customer service was great, the lady was so nice and on point. Even took lunch to go, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
