We wanted to get some tacos in NoDa, Charlotte and we went to this mexican place where they sell all kinds of tacos? we were definitely having fun trying those really tasty tacos from Sabor's!! Can only recommend when you are in NoDa?Tip: try getting every sauce so you can pair it with different tacos, they are all unique and add different hotness levels to it ;)
So I get home with my taco salad and pull it out the box and there's a twig mixed in with the mixed greens. I eat here often and have never had an issue other than this...
Do not and I mean do not eat at this restaurant. I came here for the shrimp tacos, plantains and the elotes. The food was absolutely mediocre and the service was awful. The lady had an attitude the entire time she took my order, and she messed up my order and was mad that she had to fix it. I asked her if she was the owner she snapped back at me, no and just walked off. I looked at the reviews and thought that with 914 other people rating this restaurant at 4.3 that I would at least get decent food. Do not believe the hype. I wish I would have went to my normal Latin restaurant and got the awesome food and awesome service that I always receive.
My friends and I went here on Tuesday night for their taco special but I wasn’t impressed. The service was great and the staff were very nice even though they were short staffed. The food even came out pretty quick.The tacos on the other hand were not as tasty as expected. The food was dry and overly doused in onions. We had the shredded chicken, al pastor, and chorizo tacos but they were all dry.I eat at taco places quite often so I also judge the place on their salsa. There is a salsa bar with 6 different salsas but none of them were very tasty. The mild salsa tasted store bought, the verde was okay, and the charted habanero didn’t have any flavor but it was spicy.The cost was very reasonable for food in NODA. I would try this place again but maybe on a less busy day (not taco Tuesday). There are other taco places I recommend though.
The food here is so delicious, but the likelihood of getting what you actually order is low. They have left major items out of my order multiple times lately (ie- no chicken on a chicken quesadilla) and they refuse to acknowledge the mistake or give a refund, despite having an online order form that shows what I paid for. Not worth the frustration.
We finally tried Sabor after living in NoDa for almost a year and a half! We’re so glad we did. We did delivery and it came pretty fast and wasn’t missing any items. The order was totally correct. The tacos are amazing and I got a healthy portion of fish and lots of toppings!! We’ll definitely be back!
I enjoy going to this location especially when they first opened, however, as of lately it has been disappointing. I wish this could have been a more positive review but unfortunately it’s not. For the 3rd time, my order has been completely wrong. I usually only order empanadas, tonight I ordered 2 black bean and 1 chicken. All of the empanadas were in the same box, we were unsure of which was which but anyway, we tore them open. Here we have 2 beef and 1 vegetable empanadas. I had to check the receipt to make sure I placed the right order. I’m just disappointed, I can understand if it was super busy but it was not. And it would be helpful if there was a way to identify which empanada is which especially when sharing with others and for the cooks!
Sabor Latin Street girl is slowly becoming one of my Staples. The cheese and bean empanada is to die for. The crust is flaky, the cheese in the black beans is an awesome pairing. The various sauces that you can use, from 5 alarm fire in your mouth to savory pineapple salsa. Even though there's two locations each location has its own identity and has more of a traditional Spanish restaurant feel, in comparison to a fast food joint.

My first time trying to this place out not a good experience. I specifically told the cashier I wanted two steak tacos,small pico de gallo, small chip and small queso. I was charged for a large pico de galloI told the cashier she asked her manager three times to fix it instead he never came. Then he waits until my food is almost done to negotiate by that time I was beyond aggravated and was ready to leave. Then my tacos barely have any meat. This restaurant will never receive my service again.
