My husband and I tried this restaurant for the first time this weekend. After waiting about 25 minutes we were told our food was given to someone else. We agreed to wait while our food was prepared again but was not given any compensation for our inconvenience. The sesame chicken was good and my husband stated the bang bang chicken was good but the sushi was not. It was bland and felt like I was eating unflavored rice. Overall I must say this was our first and last experience with Ray Lay Asian Bistro.
Husband and I needed to get out of Ballantyne. Both of us ordered dishes we absolutely loved. Seasoning was perfect and portions were generous. Thank you for a great night.
The food is not Authentic Thai. The ingredients are cheap and the food lacks flavor. The owners need to hire someone to come in and teach them how to make Authentic Thai dishes.I normally don't leave bad reviews but their prices Do Not reflect the quality that you will receive. This would be food court quality at a mall at best.If you have an experienced pallet for Thai, you will be dissapointed.
Atmosphere- upbeat, relaxed, welcomingStaff - they were really professional, interactive & attentiveFood -DELISH! I tried the spicy potstickers...whew!! flavor & spicy!!I wi return. They have an extended patio area thats covered and they can remove it so you can be outside also.
Second visit for my friend and I as we were very pleased with the food and drinks the first visit. I had the snapper entree, and my friend had the basil chicken. Afterwards we had two of the special martinis. We will definitely be back!

The dishes and sushi are always so good here, a very welcomed newer place in the mountain Island area! The basil chicken is amazing.
I go here all the time. It’s literally my favorite place. But tonight was so disappointing. The sauce for my spring rolls was all over the spring rolls, making the soggy. My Mongolian chicken barely had any chicken in it. Maybe like 5 small pieces of chicken. It’s mainly all onions. So disappointed.
I had high expectations and sad to said was disappointed ??? kayso was ok (NOT what I expected) thai tea ?♀️ taste just like cream and not sweet enough like it's water down, papaya salad lao style was alright- this is actually the first place that serve with pork grins which was interesting and a GOOD thing because no one does this. The chicken larb was such a disappointment as it only taste like lime ?♀️? the tacos were alright. Would i come back? NO not ever!!!However the service was great, 2 young ladies did such a wonderful job at serving everyone today and it was kind of crowded, but that didn't stop them from doing a good job and staying on their A GAME!! Service was definitely great, but even if Service was great the food wasn't. Sorry, but if you want authentic ehhhhh this is the the place I'd rather go to Thai house in university ?♀️?.Oh BTW spent over almost $80 and it was NOT WORTH the $$ I could've used this and made my own food ?♀️Oh and their kasoy is sooooo much different from OUR kasoy....this looks nothing like all the kasoy I've had my whole life LMBO, but I mean its not bad lol
