Being honest, I have never had Dominican food before but I did grow up in Brazil and recognized several of the dishes on the menu. The smells just walking in were divine! I had the beef pastelles and devoured them promptly before taking pictures and they definitely reminded me of the ones I got in Brazil. I had the marinaded beef, rice with beans and plantains. Everything was perfectly seasoned and delicious! It is a definite 10 out of five! And it was more food than I could eat by myself.
Needs some upgrades. Food was good. My black beans were a little cold. There was 5 of us, everyone enjoyed their meal. One guess had red snapper he said it was a little dry. Other than that the food was good and the waitress was attentive. Good service.
The food here was terrible! Definitely not Dominican! For some reason everything what we ordered such pernil, moro, habichuelas and roasted chicken was so salty. Not to mentioned that food took forever to come out and the service was bad.Never again will we go back here. DO your self a favor and look somewhere else for good dominican food .
I can't say enough good about this place.the atmosphere was completely inviting. The wait staff was not only prompt and friendly but gorgeous as well The food was impeccable. Perfectly seasoned, perfectly cooked and plated. It's been 6 years since I moved from NY. I have found my authentic Dominican restaurant. I will Be back and I will over eat again. Thank you so very much.❤️
Very good, it was a nice surprise. I was in Raleigh, NC and went out of my way to Charlotte, NC two and a half hrs to get a decent mofongo with carne frita.
Great mofongo con pernil. The tostones seemed like they had only been fried once instead of fried, smashed, and refried. Mayo-katsup was spot on.Flan de coco would have been better with out the old maraschino cherry and chemically red drizzle. Sad that they were out of ceciche de pulpo y camerones. Definitely will come back if I'm in Charlotte again.
We order 5 different type of dominican dishes, the food well cooked, we had a good time. I highly recommen this restaurant.
By title I refer to the Paella I ordered. Clams, mussels were still in shell, and tails on shrimp. I didn't think to ask if they could remove, at least, the tails. Will check next visit. And good chance I would order it again. I also had a waitress who spoke very little English, so we practiced on one another with good spirit. Also no shame in her game when I needed better description of menu items. She stopped another waitress who gladly explained. I also had the Maduros. Both servings were plentiful and flavorful. Atmosphere is nice. Though located on a busy street it has a very 'neighborhood' appeal with regular chairs and square tables. Guys in another section where they could play dominoes and still order. BURP
I didn't like the mofongo or anything I ordered. The carrot and orange juice had no taste just like the food
My first experience eating there was awesome. The food and service was great!
