Stopped by for a late snack and nightcap. My first time there. Very cool setting and artwork. Had the tacos that were great. Bar tender had a large selection of to choose from. I wil l go back sometime.
Walking in the neighborhood and found this place.. I love all decorations and Fernando are very friendly , Drink very reasonable price ?. Definitely come back again pretty soon
The place is unique. I love the details and decorations. Food was also very delicious. The reason why I took of a star is because of slow service and the fact that the restaurant couldn't have found a smaller copper mug for the moscow mule but still charge $13 for a drink. Also, the deserts aren't anything special.
Everything was absolutely perfect. Live music. Delicious mashed potatos and salmon, rich chocolate cake. I will definitely be returning ❤
Poplar is honestly hands down the best restaurant in Charlotte, and my husband and I have tried so many! The service is always amazing, the employees remembered my husband and I by our faces and even remembered my husbands name. Martin is the best server and we love his service every time we go. We always order the steak skewers, the shrimp and potatos, and the prosciutto Mac and cheese. There is parking all along the street so you’re usually fine to find parking even on a weekend. After Poplar, my husband and I will usually walk into Uptown and go to a rooftop. Best date night in town!! The owners are also the sweetest people you’ll ever meet.

Visiting Chatlotte on my wife’s birthday we went to the restaurant to relax. Soon as we walked in the door we rec a warm greeting fr the staff. Fernando did a excellent job with his menu and drink recommendations. The service he provided was a once in a life time experience. We will definitely come back to enjoy the atmosphere!
Great food and service and very charming atmosphere! We had our office Christmas party here and filled the back room with almost 30 people. There was live music (piano and guitar) which definitely added value to the experience! The only suggestion I have is to add some acoustical panels to the ceilings or walls to help soften the echo when the crowd is big and there is live music. Otherwise a really great experience! Will definitely return!
