Chicken was very good, both grilled and fried. French fries were just ok. Go for the yuca fries which are a lot better.
One the best places in Charlotte for fried chicken. Actually; there are several places in the same business and I have more than 8 years in the area and this is my favorite one. But; they are constantly changing the prices (and I am 100% sure that is not because of the inflation) if you do the math, there is no way to increase a 20 pieces to $54 from the original price. Pollo Campero is overpriced now, and I will hesitate to come back. Please, make a survey and a market study about it; analyze your data and find a better way to provide great offers to keep old customers on track and at the same time to catch new customers. Thanks for all these year, but again I won't back!
Pollo Cameron was so delicious. I hadn't been in awhile & decided to stop by. The chicken was chrispy, flavorful, melt in your mouth. The rolls were soft & fresh. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I won't stay away so long next time.
Yuca wasn't fresh but they made some fresh for me. Fried Chicken is amazing as usual. Empanadas are the absolute best I've ever had!!!!
I came in waited 30 minutes for my order that cost $60.00. We took our Empanadas out and started to eat them in the car and thats when i realized almost all sides were not in the bag and it was missing a whole dinner. Ok people make mistakes I go back first thing I said is we ate Empanadas and discovered our food is missing. Instead of immediately fixing my order the staff argues in Spanish about whether I'm lying and that they gave me my order complete. I do work in a restaurant and I do work with Hispanics people, I could understand some of the things they said. Finally after 45 minutes after I ordered taking everything out of the bag opening every box they decided to give me the food they missed and tried to put the same boxes of cold chicken I just pulled out and had everyone looking in back!!! Now almost an hr after I ordered And they still kept asking me where were the Empanadas!!!! I told you we ate those lady!!! I DIDNT ASK YOU TO REPLACE THEM EVEN THOUGH THEY SHOULDVE since I was so inconvenienced. I was so frustrated ? they would not have treated us like trash or liars if we were a Hispanic family. I tell her while we were waiting for our food we bought a $100.00 worth of jewelry from a wonderful woman who was selling it in the dining area. Who they all knew because she comes there regularly. WE DONT NEED TO LIE TO GET FREE FOOD WE JUST WANTED WHAT WE PAID FOR TO BE RIGHT! I WILL NEVER COME BACK TO THIS LOCATION AGAIN. UNLESS ITS TO BUY JEWELRY! VERY DISSAPONTED IN THE STAFF CUSTOMER SERVICE. I don't deserve the discrimination!
The food is always good but the service is ALWAYS BAD. It’s very close to my job so I go often because it’s convenient since there’s mostly dine in restaurants in the area. Every time I’ve gone even though I’m the ONLY CAR IN THE DRIVE THRU I usually wait 5-7 minutes for someone to ask for my order and another 10-15 for my food. Which would be fine if the employees were nice and maybe thanked you for your patience but nope just rude, snappy attitudes. And as if that’s not bad enough I’ve gone a few times around lunch time and they were closed but the restaurant was full of employees, no real explanation just sorry we’re closed. From what I could see it seems like they close temporarily any time they receive a truck delivery which is very odd. Could you imagine if every establishment closed temporarily to receive deliveries? It’s wild. I’ve gone so many times randomly over the last few months hoping maybe I was just going at bad times but no consistent bad service.
See edit below*Hands down the best takeout chicken (baked and fried) I have ever had. All of the sides were fresh and tasty; customer service was awesome. We came to the restaurant near closing and were seated and assisted by super friendly staff.EDIT:I'd really enjoyed the food and service here up until today. Went to grab a grilled chicken sandwich meal. Received fries tossed into the bag, a dried out old chicken patty, two bottom buns with mold spots and no condiments on the sandwich. When I went into the store to ask for a refund I had to explain the reason for my request 3x. The inside of the store also did not look as clean as I'd observed on previous visits. Will not be back.
Poor customer service! Food is good but the employees are rude. Was rushed out the door and drinks thrown away just because it was close to closing time. As a paying customer I shouldn’t have to rush eating due to employees wanting to rush to get off. I had arrived an hour before the time they closed. Lady even gave me attitude when I asked for a new cup after she stuck her finger in my drink.
I was very impressed and satisfied with my order from Pollo Campero, South blvd. I ordered baked chicken, rice, and beans. It was fantastic. Very tasty and good portions. This will definitely be a goto for me moving forward. Well done
