First experience seeing a concert at this venue. I must say the venue itself is amazing, well organized, clean and staffed with the most helpful, kind people. That being said, getting into the venue was a completely different story! Traffic was out of this world crazy! We totally missed the opening acts and got to our seats only 15 minutes before the headliner came on stage. There must be better way to handle such an influx of traffic! I know if traffic engineers were to put their heads together, a creative solution could be found. Waiting in a traffic line for nearly 2 hours is just not acceptable. Maybe some type of satellite parking could be instituted and people could be bussed to the venue. Most anything would be better than what we experienced. Work it out, please.
Miserable night. We paid for seats under the roof, but were required to stand in the rain because they refused to open the gates for fear of a thunderstorm in the area. Did their managers and their lawyers really think that would help them avoid liability if someone got struck outside the gate when they would have been safer inside under the roof?Once inside, there were no signs designating which line entered which section of the arena. We had been there many times before pre-pandemic, but it seems they inexplicably put a barrier in the center aisle between the box seats so you could not enter Section 5 from the cross aisle closest to our seats. After standing in the line for almost 15 minutes, we were told to go to the top of the hill and wait in another line--in the rain. Pointless and stupid. The t-shirt stand was understaffed and quite slow while we stood there like sheep in the rain.Poor planning. Poor execution. We will think twice--or more--long and hard before considering going back to this venue.
We planned on getting there earlier just to be on safe side. The traffic was a nightmare! But we made it into a normal lot. I had a little loungefly backpack with my phone, wallet, and keys. I had to check it in and pay $10 and get a clear bag, I was fine, rules are rules. Walking through to get drinks and food, and I see a girl with her loungefly bag on her back, so I guess the rules don't apply to everybody. The venue was great, we enjoyed the concert! Backstreet Boys were awesome. To leave was the same traffic nightmare all over again. People yelling, super mad, cussing. Definitely a traffic issue here. Be sure to allow enough time before and after concert for traffic.
While I love this venue, we had an extremely hard time getting to the venue to park for the BSB concert. I'm not sure if was the venue or possibly a wreck that was causing the traffic/parking issue. The venue did a pretty good job of getting cars out of the parking areas after the concert. We were sitting in Section 9 and had a great view of the stage. Overall, I've always had good experiences at this venue.
Went to see Kirk Franklin there and it was great. You can only bring in a clear bag (purse), a bottle of water and a gallon size bag of food. Food and drinks at the concession stands are mad expensive (think $7.00 hotdogs). They were good, just not worth that (talking meat, bread and mustard). Still had a great time. Just eat before you come if you want to save money. If you are sitting in the grassy area, bring a chair (can be a lawn chair too) or you can rent one of theirs for $5.00.
I have been to many concerts at this venue. From the early 90's, through 2022. It is a great venue. Arrive early, trafiic is a nightmare. The only negatives for me are the extremely high prices at the concessions. When 2 beers and 2 pretzels with cheese cost $51.00, that is a rip-off. And charging $17.00 for a 25 oz can of beer is so greedy. Those same beers are $2.00 at any convenience store. I could see charging as much as $10.00, but $17.00?!
I don’t normally leave reviews but while the concert was amazing, this venue was a nightmare for traffic!! :( Waited in standstill traffic for over an hour after the show had already started, the only reason we made it at all was because we had to park in a nearby store parking lot and walk 15 minutes, hoping our car didn’t get towed. There was very minimal traffic direction from police but there wasn’t much they could do either since there was a single entrance and thousands of people filtering into parking lots from single lane traffic. I would be wary of this venue, maybe just leave to get in line hours before the show starts to be safe if you take the risk!
The LAWN is the place to be! The acoustics under the roof suck unless you are centered in front of the stage. This place is insanely expensive, from the tickets, to the concessions to the FEES, FEES, FEES...so do yourself a favor and get a cheap seat on the lawn. Bring a camp chair or a blanket. Tailgate in the parking lot so you don't have to spend $20 per beer inside. Follow me for more pro tips!
First time visiting and had an awesome experience. Parking was convenient and didn't have to pay for parking. Staff very friendly and very helpful. I will definitely visit again.
We have been here for several concerts and have always had a great time. Lines can definitely get long at all the usual places but generally there is enough staff where needed so things are manageable. The other night when we left at the end of a concert we were in our car and back on the main road in less than 10 minutes. Prices for food and drinks are a bit high but not too crazy given the norm for facilities like this. Always a great place to check out a concert especially if you get a lawn seat and can spread out.
