Drove 64 miles to eat here at Papis and it definitely was worth the drive!We were greeted by Amy who was an amazing host, and server. Our food was absolutely delicious we started off with golden tostones which were seasoned perfectly, the alcapurrias took me back to San Juan absolutely delicious and full of flavor and Like my dad said they weren’t blind they were perfectly filled with beef..My pastelon perfecto, my parents dish arroz blanco con habichuelas Rojas and roasted pollo was so tasty and the garlic sauce a perfect addition to the pollo just wow!We Got to meet the beautiful Chef Tara and what a beautiful soul! She gave the taste of home not only in her food but her character she definitely brought the energy and the spirit of the island of Puerto Rico to Charlotte.We ended our meal with a cafecito con leche ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️and flan perfect ending to a wonderful dining experience.

Horrible! I ordered Pollo guisado with arrow gandules and potato salad and pernil. My food came in plastic containers and the pernil(kids order) was in a box. My Pollo guisado was more of a potato and carrot stew with ONE pice of small chicken, the rice was hard and the potato salad was more mashed potato with mayo, pernil salty and lacked flavor. So disappointed, lacked flavor and the portion size is small. First and last time
Everything was delicious!! We will definitely be back soon. You have to finish your meal with the guava cheescake and of course cafe con leche
This was my second visit, I like to give restaurants a second chance. First there was almost nothing on the menu. The food took too long although I don't really care if the appetizers had arrived first but everything came together and finally I had to ask more than 4 times for two pina colada already paid for and they gave them to me when we got up to leave something else the appetizer of my girls I take it to my house, they never bring it to the table. In short, I think I will not return, I hope that poor coordination improves. ?♀️
This restaurant was by far the most delicious I have found in Charlotte!!! The food was full of so much FLAVOR!!!!! It was absolutely delicious!!!!!! The owners and chef were so sweet !I will most definitely be coming back !!!! I can’t wait to try more items on the menu! I had the flank steak with the rice and yucca fries! ( fries were so tender and soft!)
The atmosphere was great but the food was amazing, we immediately started eating once they put the food down. I got the mofongo with fried chicken, my kids got the pastelitos de pizza with arros con gandules and loved it. We also got a side of tostones and for dessert we got flan. All delicious!
1st time eating here didn't know what to order so I tried a couple of things from appetizer. Bc I had mofongo in Puerto Rico before & didn't want that. Codfish fritters, chicken meat pie & sweet & savory cornmeal fritters(don't remember the spanish name) Codfish fritters was sweet which made me think I got the wrong thing( looked like mozzarella stick). But everything else was cool. Got to eat it hot! Everything was cook to order. The guy taking the order was very friendly, he was the cashier, the server & busboy. Oh they charge you for using cc/dc without telling you.
The roasted pork was mostly so over cooked it was inedible. ???
