Dope spot inside Optimist hall. Who doesn’t like a grilled cheese?! I purchased the mushroom Gruyère. It was perfect! The crisp of the bread, plentiful mushroom seasoned herbs, and most importantly, the cheese and cheese pull, perfect. You can’t ask more! Will definitely be back to try the Mac \\u0026 cheese grilled cheese!
First bite stole my entire life….. my babies too…. I’ma big foodie … he’s silent foodie…. The food is so fresh fries are so crispy, well seasoned yet soft, and the White wine slushy is so strong but tasty perfect combination of food. Can’t believe it was a grilled ?!\\n\\nTruly a hidden gem ?\\n\\nWill be back SOON…….
Mmmmmmmmm. Everything was so good. I went there based off a recommendation. If you are a lover of grilled cheese it’s a must try. I got the burger melt and a side of fries. Delicious point blank period!
I’m big on customer service and this place had a amazing and personable manager and a awesome cashier that had a great recommendation on what to order. I did not go wrong with any of my options but the bacon jalapeño grilled cheese hands down is my favorite!

Hands down the best grilled cheese in town !!! Now how does one get so excited about a freakin grilled cheese ? Papi Queso has a menu that’s pretty basic and straight to the point but it’s nothing basic about the grilled cheeses . They offer all different types of grilled cheeses and you cant order one without getting the garlic tots. Great balls of fire I could legit order & eat the garlic tots alone ! If you want a grilled cheese that will have you feenin for more Papi Queso is the one .

I won’t lie. I have been doubting and pushing off ordering Papi Queso for a year now. Thinking that grilled cheese and tomato soup couldn’t be worth the price point it is. The soup has to be perfect. The bread has to be seared perfectly. The ingredients have to be top notch. And to expect this all within the confines of a tiny restaurant, I was preparing for disappointment when I ordered on DoorDash.First, y’all have the best branding and packaging of any sandwich spot in town bar none. I open up the box and low and behold, the sandwich is cooked perfectly. The seasoning, the balance, the ingredients, it was truly spectacular. My eyes rolled over the tomato soup, glaring at what I perceived would be the lone miss. Small cup of soup for $3.50. After my first couple dunks and sips, I felt like I stole something and would have paid twice as much. It’s a soup made for the sole purpose of dunking your grilled cheese. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a fantastic soup on its own. But you can definitely tell they put in the extra effort to have it be the perfect pairing.Bravo team! You nailed it!
Found hair in food. This place deserves negative 5 stars. I ordered a burger melt, a soda and fries.The burger melt was way too salty. There was also a light brown hair in the burger. I asked for no sauce but they added sauce on it anyway, but luckily I could taste the sauce after the first bite and decided to open the sandwich to confirm or I would’ve ingested someone’s brown short hair (picture attached). Disgusting. I could make a better burger at home. Check your burger from here or you too could be at risk for consuming some cooks dead shedding hair.The soda? Non existent. It never came with the driver who delivered my food.The fries were too salty, but the only edible thing out of the whole order.Lay off the salt and heavy seasoning sheesh. I will not be ordering again.
I loved the food truck and was so excited when they announced Papi Queso would be in Optimist Hall! I love all of their grilled cheese options!If you haven’t tried this place, it is time!
