Amazing food. Great options. The flavors are amazing! Definitely would recommend. I wish we had room for their dessert and Boba tea.
We have been twice this place with family and friends, we went once by end of pandemic and next visit was on April 2022 with my daughters, I have tried many dishes here like Singapore noodles, pineapple fried rice, ramen and their favorite desserts, this place has never disappointed us and they tend to maintain the standards, this place has good decor and ambience and their service was always the top notched, overall we had great dining experience both the visit and we will be back again to try more dishes.
Ate here on a Sunday afternoon - restaurant wasn't packed.I got a soda to drink - they bring you a can with a cup of ice; so refills are not free. For my appetizer I ordered the pork potstickers (fried). They were delicious! It's served with a dipping sauce which was great. My entree - Beef Chow Fun. The beef was tender and the portion was filling. I added the dipping sauce from my appetizer to my meal - gave it the extra pop it needed!Make sure to save room for desert!!! I ordered a vanilla scoop of ice cream with oreo, fruity pebbles, chocolate and caramel drizzle on top!! The bubble waffle was still warm too. This was a pleasant experience - look forward to trying different menu items!
Loved the food here! The owners are from HK and it definitely shows in their Asian fusion food. Surprisingly their boba was also really good! We got the char siu and double pan fried noodles and it tasted authentic and seasoned well! I always get the fluffy fried buns as an appetizer and it hit the spot ?? it’s usually busy and they have an outdoor area now which is really nice for good weather! 10/10
I’m not sure what has happened, but the food quality has gone down, and prices keep going up. I used to love this place and we would go to celebrate occasions with great food. The last 2-3 times we’ve been, it’s been very mediocre food.
My friends has been talking about this place so I was excited to try. Turned out It didn’t meet my high expectations. Cha siu was a little bland to me, so was the pineapple fried rice.
Ah-Mazing!!!! Thank you, Raymond, for talking with us and it was a pleasure getting to learn about your culture more. Absolutely fabulous dinner!!!! I had the filet mignon and Jackie had the Sweet and Sour shrimp. We will be back to see you soon!!!! ???

This place well exceeded my expectations. While the establishment is certainly on the more expensive side, and given the admittedly small portions, there's no mistaking the rich quality of the food. Moreover, my party had went over on a Saturday night and our dishes came out faster than anyone anticipated! We were amazed at the overall service. While I mentioned some of the items are of smaller portions, it balances out given the fact that likewise other menu items are meant to be enjoyed by parties. In the end it evens out. Great place for special occasions.
The modernity of Open Rice offers a refreshing take on the "family style" dining experience which was very enjoyable. My party of 8 and I attended on a Saturday evening, the wait was about 30 minutes which seems very standard given it was a weekend at dinner time. The waitress who attended to our party was very accommodating, quick, and very friendly. One person in my party is allergic to sesame oil, our waitress made sure to relay the allergy to the kitchen and was considerate enough to let us know which dishes had sesame oil while the food was coming out, very cool! The service was very quick, our food started coming out 15 minutes after ordering, this was very impressive given how busy it was. The food was delicious, however the portions seem a little small, especially the big ticket items like the bulgogi and the bang bang chicken/shrimp which was a bit disappointing. If you attend with a larger party you really have to portion the food to ensure everyone gets their share, I feel for the price the portions should be a tad more. However, this minor critique did not hinder my enjoyment of Open Rice, it is a fun place to bond with friends and family over some delicious food.
