This was my first time at this location. Food was awesome! Entertainment was awesome! We really enjoyed ourselves! We made reservations for a Saturday night. It seemed every table had a birthday including our table.
Reservations only for the tables. We sat at the sushi bar. Seem to be a bother for the server. Portions were smaller than before pandemic therefore expensive for what you get. Sushi portions seem smaller. The only way I would go back would be reserving a table. Disappointed
The service was very friendly and efficient. The food was grilled right at the table, hibachi style. I had the teriyaki steak. It was very tasty and grilled to a perfect medium rare. The chef was talented, and entertaining
Things have changed and not for the good, we did make reservations,but my husband and I where a half hour late, my daughter was waiting for us at the table.And as she was holding are table,the waitress told her she would have to order for us otherwise leave,that she had extended the maximum wait time.There was hardly any one in there.i don’t get it. And now we must order right away.,and the food was not tasty,he cooked it took long,accept for the veggies they where not cooked enough.I have tried to get in twice before and couldn’t,my birthday was Aprilm30 th and the only time they would have gotten me in was 9 thirty way to late.I am so dissatisfied,I went to kabutas a few months ago you do not need a reservation,and the food was actually better there,to bad as This use to be my to go place every year for my birthday,I will be going elsewhere for now on,And I am really mad the way they spoke to my daughter.how dare you tell her she needs to leave,WTH.As the other people that never showed up you think that they really needed there tables full.I could go on. But if you cannot make it on time and you need to have your reservation. Don’t go.
I ordered the Salmon and Chicken for takeout. Everything was good except the salmon. They overcooked it and it was very dry. The white sauce couldn't save it. That part of the dish was really disappointing.

Didn’t realize we needed a reservation, we were fine with that though. We asked for a reservation and were told they were completely booked for the night. The phone rings and he tells the caller they have a 9pm. When we say something about it, they all of a sudden have a 9:30pm. We drove 45 minutes to eat at this one restaurant. NEVER EVER AGAIN!!!
Got the Caterpillar and Spider-Man rolls there (see pic).They were flavorful and excellent!The clear onion soup was very tasty too. Our Hibachi cook delighted everyone with his skills. I tried a bite of the Hibachi food, but I’m not a personal fan as I feel that the distinct flavors are lost, making the dish pretty bland and dependent on the accompanying sauces. Others like it though, so to each his/her own. Good experience overall and friendly service.
This was the first Japanese steakhouse I had gone to when I was a kid and I'm proud to say I was ruined from the get go. This place is without a doubt my favorite Japanese steakhouse I've ever eaten at (and I've been to a lot). All of the Nakato restaurants are great, and this one is no exception. Every time I'm back in Charlotte I try and hit up this location for a meal. If you're looking for awesome food, awesome atmosphere, and great entertainment, look no further!
Place was not very clean and food was okay. Their sushi was the best thing we ate. Service was rushed and our order wasn't brought out correctly.
