Very nice place and clean, The food was very good and cooked to perfection, Had the Hibachi Chicken and it was pretty good. Also the Yum Yum sauce is perfect! Give it a try!!

Mr.Tokyo your food is delicious but you have to change the to-go boxes to less harmful. The styrofoam container is literally melting under hot food. It’s disgusting ? and I finished almost half of the food. There are some good alternatives as hard paper containers. Please reconsider this option, stop poisoning us.

They brought me pieces of rice instead of sushi, and after I refused to eat them, they said that I should pay more for what I didn’t eat. The photo clearly shows what kind of sushi they prepared for me! terrible place!

We had a wonderful experience after our second attempt... we left the first time because the wait was over two hours. This visit was a one hour wait. You cannot get on the list by phone.$22.99 for the food and $3 for beverages. The sushi was amazing and well worth the price. People are charged for leftovers so be careful when ordering sushi rolls.

The food order took forevvvvvvver and they were about 1/3 capacity on a weeknight at 430-5 pm. Hardly rush time. Sushi was pretty decent, but the whole time you're worried about making sure you eat it all so you're not charged even MORE money for it....We did (whew). Had to catch the drink refills when you saw them, they don't come ask. Clean place. Decent price

Noticed the amount of rice in the rolls are bordering stupid. Look how little actually stuff in the sushi roll and look at the amount of rice. If food cost going up just raise the price but don’t charge same and give less. It affects the taste.

We have gone To Mt Tokyo’s in Pineville regularly for many years. We totally get that changes have happened to many rest since COVID. However, for the last 2-3 visits, service is almost nonexistent. It is not due to lack of help, but their help all gather in the back and socialize. Your orders are taken on forms you fill out, our first order took 25 minutes for our server to come to us. The restaurant was quite empty, at this time, there were about 5 servers gathered at the back talking. When she finally arrived, and took our order sheet, it took 20+ minutes to arrive, and it was totally incorrect. We wanted to our in a second order, waited, as she chatted, after order was put in, waited another 25 minutes, walked and asked her, snd was told, that they had not even started to prepare it. Nite: plenty of help, 4 sushi preparers, just like ore COVID, Jess than half full? I always want to give a place a chance, since they may have a bad day, but 3 in a row. The front management seems to have changed, and not for the best st the Pineville-Matthews location. We walked to the hostess to pay, since our server was not to be found, nor did we ever get our second order, snd did share our concern.

We have eaten at Mr. Tokyo’s before and had a great experience. Unfortunately that was not the case this time. Our waitress forgot our salads and soups for the table. After two reminders, she finally brought them out. Our Miso soup had a straw wrapper in it. When our main food came out, we found a dark colored hair in our hibachi. We brought this up to the manager and she said she couldn’t do anything about it because people had been “faking it.” Worst of all everyone had an attitude and still required an 18% tip. Very disappointed!!

This is my favorite place that I've visited so far in my trip to SC, it took a while to get table as it's a tiny restaurant but it's worth it. The service was outstanding, our waiter was bilingual (Spanish) and helpful in all ways. The menu was easy to understand, you've to pay around 14.99 per person and you get all you can eat but do not leave leftovers or you'll get charge, the over payment will be use for charity porpuses so it's up to you.Food quality was outstanding and portions were big enough, the options were a lot of options to choose from. The individual portions of sushi are big so take care of it.

I just have a really bad bad experience right here . I come for dinner with my wife and daughter 6 years old and waited about 20 mins to be seated. I told the waitress that the 1st time I come. I asked her to show me how to order and I would like to ordered 2 pcs of 5 kinds of sushi.I wrote down 2pcs for each kind, she said ok. After a moment she brought out more than 60pcs of sushi and told me that is my order. I said no, it was too much for us and she said that she can't return my order because it's done and they charge extra if food left over. I told her I want to talk with the manager. The manager come , I have told her I didn't order too much food like that and the waitress didn't listen to me and showed me how to order. That's not my fault. She ( the manager)was rude , did not solve the problem and told me that she will get me a discount on the food left over. When I check out they charge my daughter for the price 7yrs old $15.99 but didn't ask me how old she is. I told her my daughter just only 6 and they corrected the bill $10.99 for kid. The bill was come out $103.89 for 2 adults and 1 kid 6yrs old. The sub charge for the food left overs is $35. I paid and felt like I was picked pocket by them. All they want is get your money as much as possible. They didn't care about the services and the satisfaction of guests. Be careful when you come to this place if you don't want to waste money. I Never and never come again.
