Definitely a great vibe, very warm and welcoming. The service is as good as it gets. Food, well, for a guy who talks a lot, I didn't say much while I devoured that awesome club sandwich. Definitely worth the trip. Whether you're looking for a great lunch spot, a night out, or maybe just wanna belly up to a bar, this is definitely the perfect spot.

We had only one night to check out Uptown Charlotte while on a one month road trip. Shortly after walking out of our hotel we stuck our heads into Mortimer’s to ask for directions and suggestions. We were immediately impressed be Sammi, the manager, who gave us lots of good tips and said we might stop in later. After walking and site seeing a long while we sat down to check out Trip Advisor for a restaurant recommendation. We read dozens of reviews and then selected Mortimer’s without realizing (until we walked in again) that it was the same place we had stepped into for directions! Right then we knew it was our destiny to eat there. After drinks my wife selected Chicken Quesadillas, and I had the Turkey Club Wrap. These light dishes were delicious and exactly right for us. The service was fast and very professional. But to be completely honest, it is Sammi that made this stop outstanding. My wife described her as “spectacular,” and I agree.
In town for the night, went to a Hornets game and stopped by here afterwards. Great atmosphere and bartenders. Just the right place to chill. Really liked the late night menu and selection of drafts.
AMAZING PUB We came in town for an Eagles show and they opened up special on Monday for the concert crowd. They had welcome Eagles fans signs everywhere. Unfortunately they are so so so short staffed. There were 2 bartenders that were EVERYTHING and a bag o chips. We got there right at 3 and they had just opened so it was empty. In 2 hrs if filled up and not only did these 2 take/make drink orders, they took everyone's food orders and delivered the food, cleared dirty stuff away. I've never seen 2 harder workers that kept their cool and smiled the whole time. The drinks are yummy and the food is awesome. The food came out quickly! Also, we went back to the pub after the concert- they filled back up, and got right back to it. They even turned the fryer back on for us because we were hungry! Wings are awesome too ! btw Highly, highly recommend!!♥️
Stopped in for one drink before a concert…ended up becoming our favorite spot in Charlotte! Daniel and Sammi are incredible and made us feel like we were regulars. These two gave us a great time and we will be stopping in every time we visit the city! Honestly, I think the next time we go to Charlotte, it will be just to come to this bar!
